Draft: The RNG Draft: Brought to you by Bostik

Pool 4 (1/2)

Ddrap
1678136354537.png
I've got Bradman, now the best since him at 5 (I only say this half ironically given Harry Brook's start). Life's good

Parth
1678136552937.png
Wriddhiman Saha definitely isn't the "Best keeper in the world", but at 6, he's a keeper playing in position none the less.
1678136596500.png

Ahmed
1678136619489.png
Ahmed got an awful pool, but Douglas Carr at 11 is probably making the best of it.
1678136649693.png

Ed
1678136660727.png
Most of the Archers wouldn't have been bad picks, but Ed went with Jofra at 10, by far the most proven option of them all.

Disharies
1678136726537.png
@Disharies selected Ian Harvey, but then gave him a position already filled. Can you please reply to this post with a vacant position?

Nobody here had a great impact on Test cricket, but Tuppy Owen-Smith (left) has a great domestic record and bats 7 for CK.

Ezra Moseley was a destructive force in First Class cricket; but at 9, is the tail already too long?

Till Valhalla
1678137153190.png
Anwar won the Saeed-off that this pool clearly was, and he'll open for TV.
1678137180860.png

NMA
1678137194579.png
Despite NMA's dissatisfaction, there were three if not four worse pools in the end! He went with Brian Luckhurst at 2.
1678137281738.png

Aravind
1678137295587.png
The Aravind all-rounder brigade grows with Jacob Oram at 6! Let's all ignore that Bill O'Reilly is right there
1678137328583.png

Pillowprocter
1678137357848.png
PP picked Muhammad Waseem at #1. I'm sure this isn't the correct Muhammad Waseem, but I can't find any others.

Neo 7
1678137411524.png
Alan Melville has become an unusually common RNG draft pick; he bats 2 in this team.
1678137444758.png

Round 4 hopefully out tonight, I won't be able to post it until Friday though

Fenil
1678152189106.png
Batsman and bowler Pakistanis were the two clear favoruites here; Aamer Sohail opening was indeed the pick over countryman Aaqib.
1678152299292.png

Also updated the first page to reflect time constraints this draft that I may not have appropriately made clear

Oram wasn't too bad but picking him before Bill O'Reilly is aweinspiring. I would have picked him even if I had 3 other spinners in my side!!

Wriddhiman Saha definitely isn't the "Best keeper in the world", but at 6, he's a keeper playing in position none the less.
He was the best "wicket keeper" during the time he was in the first XI. No other international glovesman was as skillful as him behind the stumps at that point of time.

Agreed one of the biggest blunders I done on drafts, lesson learnt, never pick a player while in half sleep :mask:.

Round 5 (1/2)

Ddrap
1678363382275.png
Allan Watkins was likely my pick anyway before another draft host mentioned him in my DMs. The "Wales" section of the England and Wales Cricket Team will bat at #7 for me.
1678363555245.png

Pillowprocter
1678363971225.png
Axar Patel and now Ravi Ashwin? The British and Aussie members already hate this team, even with him at 7.
1678364061031.png

Na Maloom Afraad
1678364095691.png
NMA picked Dennis Amiss over Hashim Amla in a battle of openers-cum-#3s.

Fenil
1678364217390.png
At 6:
1678364255738.png

Ahmedleo414
1678364311287.png
Ahmed added his first opener, in Ramiz Raja.
1678364349975.png

Ed
1678364365254.png
Don't diss Gary Gilmour - he single-handedly destroyed England in the 1975 World Cup. Six might be high for him though
1678364409781.png

Neo 7
1678364419704.png
Ken Barrington is very obvious. He bats 3.

CerealKiller
1678364654062.png
Conrad Hunte is a pretty simple pick here. He'll open .
1678364696004.png

Aislabie
1678364735544.png
John Murray fills the wicketkeeper slot, but he also will bat 8, which could spell trouble later in the draft.
1678364771928.png

Aravind
1678364785800.png
Danish Kaneria is no O'Reilly, but he's a decent enough spinner at #11 - apart from the matchfixing.
1678364846703.png

Till Valhalla
1678364946978.png
In my alternate universe, Bruce Yardley (who has become Murali 20 years early) would be an easy pick - but this is the real world so TV went with SKY at 4.
1678364987986.png

Parth
1678365002032.png
"Williams"

The one he took was Craig at 5.
1678365289189.png

Disharies
1678365302673.png
Chris Cairns would have given Disharies something to think about. But that's Lance, so Jos Buttler at 6 is a simple pick (with Ian Harvey adjusted in at 7).
1678365461298.png

Round 6
Firstly, this was the quickest response round I've ever got; everyone did their pick within 24 hours, so thank you very much - it should mean less of a time constraint for the rest of the draft, as now I have 4.5 weeks to do 5 pools.

Ddrap
1678494158249.png
Bumrah at 11. What is this B luck?
1678494189999.png

Fenil
1678494213090.png
The greatest batsman of his era for some, Wayne Larkins Brian Lara walks into Fenil's team at 4.
1678494274265.png

Parth
1678494285917.png
The extremely quick Kiwi, Lockie Ferguson, will bat 11 for Parth.
1678494323925.png

Disharies
1678494339625.png
Manjurul Islam Rana at 8. May he rest in peace.
1678494388094.png

Till Valhalla
1678494443635.png
Mohammad Azharuddin is a fine middle order batsman. He will bat 5, probably his best position.
1678494490191.png

Pillowprocter
1678494506092.png
Justin Langer is now known as a coach, but let's not forget he was a brilliant opener - exactly what he'll do for Pillowprocter.

1678494546639.png
Speaking of Aussies batting at #2...

CerealKiller
1678494597608.png
CTB "Terror" Turner is something of a poor man's Barnes. He bats 8 for CK.
1678494690879.png

Aislabie
1678494706099.png
Saurabh Tiwary over Ernie Toshack isn't ideal, but them's the breaks. The Indian, harsh not to play more for his country, comes in at 6.
1678494744165.png

Ed
1678494751020.png
What is this non-Edness coming in at 5?
1678494772062.png

Neo 7
1678494814070.png
Regis Chakabva is by no means a brilliant cricketer, but he does keep, and Neo gets his wickie in the team now at 5.
1678494848847.png

Na Maloom Afraad
1678494877392.png
Neil Fairbrother is a very solid #5, and in a vacuum over Faheem Ashraf is probably the right pick. This isn't a vacuum, and Alan Fairfax is in it...
1678494952695.png

Ahmed
1678494970966.png
Geoff Marsh may be the least talented member of his family now, but he was still an excellent opener, and he will do just that for Ahmed.
