The RNG Draft (Panesar Edition)

Unlucky Dip Player 48
Ahsan Raza

Raza was even worse than Melt. With that said, he's since become an elite umpire who's the first to 50 T20Is stood in, as well as surviving the 2009 Lahore attack. Inspiring (unlike his batting average).

Your pools are coming tomorrow, probably late as I've got plans in the day

I love specialist batsmen who don't have their own picture online and average 8! Don't you?

Put some respect on the name of the captain of Arunachal Pradesh! :spy

Alec Douglas-Home

A successful Prime Ministering, unlike Manmohan earlier this round! The difference though is more than that; Douglas-Home was actually kinda competent by these standards.

Fantastic result this - a novelty player who was actually good at cricket

Round 8
@Ed Smith

Aislabie would have been thrilled to select an Irishman; however, the rest of us (including Ed) would not be as enthused about one of our five actual selections being Lorcan Tucker.

Another Associate. But Brandon McMullen may be Scotland's greatest ever player already; at least, he almost willed them off his own skills to a World Cup.

I love Todd Murphy. But at the same time... Deryck Murray had to have been the pick here. Hopefully someone keeps wicket in TV's last three picks

Luck is finally on someone's side as Shan Masood is available! I kid. Shakib al Hasan is clearly the pick here - generational allrounders are necessary to win this one.

He needed batsmen. Guess what? In marches Virat.

Bevab was thrilled to get both Tayfield and Maurice Tate. But he could only pick one, so he made the very wise move (in my opinion) of taking the more all-round cricketer. Tate can make up for Nawaz Sharif.
