Anothe weak, inactive team. Carrying both Tom Soft and Dawson in for this match, althogh Dawson won't be bowling. Drayton also gets some match practice in, and youngster Tuckett gets his first game. Also, interestingly enough, Mitchell Bryant will whirl his arm over after some work in the nets! Should be a cracker!

Lineup (probable): Dawson, Mpumelele(+), Greenwood, Delop, T?oeu, Dennis(*), Soft, Cash, Tuckett, Bryant, Drayton.

Pitch: Green
Match orders: Take it Easy.
Bowling orders: Sets of five
Toss: Field first

Breaking News!

Some training changes

From week 8 this season, we will be making some changes to the training of players.

You will now find that your young players will take a lot longer to improve their mental skills, having to rely much more on their natural talent, whereas your older pros will find it easier to improve the mental side of their game due to their maturity.

Also, all players will find it just as easy to improve their stamina as one another, irrespective of their age. This will probably mean that your younger players will improve slightly slower than at present, whereas the older players will find improvements come much quicker than they do now.

Now this will definately revolutionise the way I apply my net sessions. Gotta make the best use of the next 5-6 weeks...

I'll be relying on my youth pull for those. Slowly I will be replacing the foreigners. I will, however, keep two foreigners at any given time. Currently it is more likely to be Lonergan/Tsoeu + Nguyen-lee.

Drayton pulls out of Clueless Americans match
"I don't want to aggrevate my ankle" says Drayton​

TT Lion's strike fast bowler Carlton Drayton has pulled out of tommorrow's match against the Clueless Americans.
"I know it is a bit last minute, but while bowling in the nets, I felt a bit of a niggle in my left ankle, and do not want to aggrevate it"
When asked if it was anything serious, he replied: "No, not really. Its just that we have more important matches this season, and I want to be at 110% for the team."
"This gives us an opportunity to let allrounder Dawson bowl as well, and to get a fair estimation of our team's skills" was what the TT Lion's manager Zorax Doom had to say.
The replacement is expected to be Dogie bates, who was selected recently as a specialist fielder.

TT Lions can't hold nerve in yet another thriller!
Bryant and Delop heroics in vain!​

Another thriller, but this time luck just wasn't with the TT Lions. The TT Lions won the toss and elected to field, and Soft soon got an early breakthrough. Dawso picked up a quick wicket too, and had them on the ropes at 22/2. But the Rhodes, Soft and Hardey proved to be a thorn in the TT Lion's side, putting 160 runs between them. However, Tuckett came to the party and took two wickets in two balls, and Bryant helped clean up the tail with 3 wickets in an over, and Tsoeu hit the stumps direct to wrap the innings.
In reply, the TT Lions got off to a terrible start, losing Mpumelele for his second duck, Dawson for 1 and Greenwood for 2. Delop and Tsoeu had a fantastic 92 runs. Tsoeu fell for a fabulous run-a-ball 42, and Dennis fell quickly too as the match slipped away from the TT Lions. Soft and Cash played some valiant innings, and took them to the brink of victory, but the tail just couldn't finish it off, and we fell short by just 4 runs!! MOTM went to spinner Gammon for his 4/39.


Ratings:

Another thriller. Bit dissapointed though, could have done a lot better.

Ahh, a change. Playing one of the toughest teams you will meet. 4 player with BTRs over 10000 - Including WI National Team player Jarvis Palmer. A really tough match here, and honestly I feel this is the end of my Cup Run.

Lineup (probable): Cox, Delop, Lonergan, Crouch, Greenwood, Dennis(*), Atheron-ham, Deane, Fallon(+), Atkinson, Drayton

Actually the worst was a player with BTR 7! a low worthless in everything, defensive, and crap leadership. This one had a two abysmals...

Southland AC record crushing win!
TT Lions stumble chasing 278!​

A dissapointing loss. A good bowling performance in the beggining reducing them to 121/4 was wasted when Marsh and Connel put up a very annoying partnership. Set 278 to win, the TT Lions were bundled out for a very meagre 112 with only Delop, Lonergan and Greenwood getting past double figures. Man of the match Villiers returned fantastic figures off 4/2 off 4 overs.
News had it that Southland AC GFI'd this match, showing that the TT Lions are growing in reputation as a threatining team.


Ratings:

Not great, but not bad. These ratings should really improve if I am to challenge the top teams.
