Story The TT Lion's Journey, the "Original" Battrick Story.

Thats odd...the match wasn't played. I can still set my squad, etc. for the match although the date says yesterday

Matthew Wilkerson Quits TT Lions.
TT Lion's pacer Matthew Wilkerson has decided to quit the TT Lions.
"The team is a good one, but I had some disputes with the management, and I have decided to put myself on the transfer list and start a new career. I guess this wasn't meant to be"
Matthew Wilkerson claims that he would "Accept any offer if reasonable"

TT Lions Clobber Biabou CC
-Biabou CG
The TT Lions thrashed the Biabou CC by 10 wickets here at the Biabou CG. The key performers were Atkinson who picked up 4/14 in 8 overs and debutant Karl Deane who got 3/35 in his alloted ten overs. Mohammed Delop continued his splendid run of form by cracking a splendid unbeaten 90 of just 77 balls which included 7 hits to the fence and 3 over them.

The conditions were ideal for a good match, the pitch clearly suiting the seamers.

The two lineups were summarised before the match, and clearly the TT Lions held the advantage:

However, the match was more one-sided that expected:

Mohammed Delop continued his dream run, a brilliant season so far:

Over-all a farily easy win.

A good win says Doom
-Biabou CG
TT lions manager labeled this crushing victory as "A good win". When asked on how he felt on the performance, he replied:"Yea, we did well. Cox and Delop kept up their great opening pair together, and Atkinson showed what he could achieve. Karl bowled well to, he is a good find."

Finance and Diary Update:

Well my finances aren't looking to good. I hope my few home matches coming up will help fix that. I am also having trouble getting rid of a few players...

Here

Well it turns out we played a match, which I didn't know about. Apparently, we lost :(. Actually, we were creamed. We were pounded into sumbission, our dust swept under the carpet, the carpet rolled up, tossed into an old car, and the car smashed into a cube, the cube launched into space, and...well...you get my drift :)
Hehe, sorry. That was my team you were playing. :p I've been playing for one season longer than you though, so I've had more of a chance to develop my squad.

My best bowler (Gillespie) only got one wicket against you though! His other 5 matches this season have yielded 28 wickets. Oh well, at least he scored a century.

This thread is a great read BTW, keep it up. Good luck for the rest of the season. :cheers

Thanks :) I really got crushed by you. Watch out next season though, I'm gonna come back better than ever

TT Lions Wield Axe
Downes, Stansfield, Miach Bradshaw, Walken and Wilkerson sacked
Christopher's and Fallon's careers on the line, says Doom

-The Lions Stands
The TT Lions manager, ZoraxDoom, has decided to wield the axe, firing five players-Agnus Downes, Kenwynne Stansfield, Bradshaw, Martyn Walken and Matthew Wilkerson-who announced that he would be leaving a few days back- due to contract disputes. Out of those five players, Matthew Wilkerson was the only one who had gotten a game for his now ex-team.
He also went and announced that two players would be playing for their places in the team-Left arm spinner Duane Christopher and wicket keeper Anton Fallon. When questioned, he replied:
"Well, Christopher has had a lot of time in the nets, so its now or never. I have set him a standard to get in todays game against the weakest team in the league, Biche CC, of 3 wickets at less than 3 an over. If he fails, he could most likely be dropped. Similarly, Anton Fallon has really struggled with the bat, and we have promoted him to number three. If he fails, his future with the team is uncertain. We have a lot of impressive youg wicket keepers and spinners coming up, and we don't want to hold them back from a spot in the team.
He also put forward the fact whether Clark Griffin would still keep his place in the team for the for the future would "Depend on the performance of certain players in this match." He also didn't confirm the lineup for the friendly match agaisnt the Old Wullfs, saying that the final lineup "would depend on todays performance"

The Match starts in roughly 3 hours, stay tuned :)

Good luck. You're lucky you've got so many bots in your league, lots of easy wins!

I've got a match against Banagher Knight, currently #1 in my league (II.2) and one of the best teams in WI. I'm #2 with 3 wins from 3 as well, looking forward to a big crowd turnout at my recently-completed 17,500 capacity stadium. Gillespie will be looking to maintain his position as the leading wicket-taker in WI so far this season, and the top order lineup of Cuss, Bridge, Berry and Gillespie are hoping for a good day out with the bat.

Hey!!! Don't Invade my stroy with yours! :p

So thats why its easy for me...
That must also be why the others have better players.

:( No more details of the Asterix XI here then. All the teams ending in 'CC' are usually bots (i.e. they have no manager). All bots have their form set permanently to the lowest level, so they are incredibly easy to beat. You should come up against some tougher opposition next season, assuming you get promoted.

But I lost to a CC team by one wicket this season. I think it was user controlled. :(
I will get promoted, already number 3. Or atleast I hope so :upray
So this match should be a piece of cake...

Are you sure? I checked your fixtures, the only league match you lost was against 'Lucian Magma', a non-bot. He's your only competition really. :)
