The wishlist thread

I would wish for
- them to recall as much as they can of AC09+patches when they write the game 'from scratch'

And then, have:
- better on-side shot options 'and' animations
- revised spin bowling mechanism (I loved how TAOC approached it)
- better stats tracking (would be fun if commentator could take into account how the tournament has spanned out this far)
- on demand spider-graphs and replays
- tougher AI
- defensive shot which could reach the boundary if timed perfectly in the right direction.
- more tournament/tour options

Good to hear from you again mate! I remember some good games we had with Ashes 09!

Now that would be great! Although the custom player mode is sort of like that?

If there was a career mode, it would only feature your custom player. Then you can play English domestic season and for your own country. Many other stuff too.

How are you dutch?
@Games : I too enjoyed the online games but once you play the patched version, the vanilla one just doesn't make sense even for online.

I still play AC09 offline but PC didn't feel the same from when I joined. A new cricket game should change it all though. :thumbs

How about some kind of injury stat? Say every player starts a game with 100. Then if he gets hit in ribs by a bouncer he could loose say 15. He could loose 20 if hit on helmet. And 5 if hit anywhere else. If the stat reaches 0 then he should be forced to retire. This feels like a good reward for bowling good bouncers.

Mark Nicholas as commentator. Liked him heaps in Cricket07.

I'm going to put my wish in terms of having variety of tournaments, which, as has been pointed out by many here,
as one of the key points not only to attract new fans, but also for the longevity of a game.

IMO, one of the most important features in EA-series Cricket games has been the variety it provided in terms of tournaments.
There is World cup, Knock-out cup, foreign tours of various countries alongside England & Australia domestic tourneys.
That's quite a healthy variety to have. EA 2002 used to unlock Sharjah cup after winning World cup in normal or hard..that was a seriously cool feature.:yes

I'd like to have customizable tournaments in AC13 as I've always liked to play multi-nation limited-overs tournaments.
I always used to play these kind of tournaments in EA 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007. Also BLIC 2005 provided option of customizable tourneys.
I'd often pick 3/4 minnows or 1/2 top teams, 2 minnows for a triangular/quadrangular series and fighting it out in that format was a lot of fun.

I'd like to have something customizable like a 4-nation Sharjah Cup among any 4 ODI playing nations,
or a domestic 20/50 over league among say 8 teams of any test-playing country.
For multi-nation limited-overs international tournaments apart from ICC CWC, let's keep the limit to 4 nations.
For multi-team domestic/club-level limited-overs tournaments, let's keep a min of 3/4 and max of 8 teams.
user can choose all teams from same country or from different countries as per his wish in case of domestic/club-level tourney.
League-phase can be round-robin among all the teams in 4-team tourney or among 2 groups, equally divided in case of 8-team tourney.
Winner can be decided in best-of-three finals.

For this we would need domestic teams and domestic rosters alongwith international ones (something which EA 2004 managed quite well)
If licensing is a problem, then allow creation of new customized teams and huge number of new players to be used in rosters, along with face-pack, accessory, kits and jerseys.
I'm not quite sure what is the limit on creation of new players in EAC07, but I still play EAC04 (the gameplay is unmatched, IMO) and absolutely hate it when the limit is set to 60 players for one user profile.

Custom celebrations in cricket?!

Meh!!:facepalm

1. A Career mode, where you play as a single player with TV interviews, where, if you choose the proper answer, your respect in the team increases and vice-versa.
2. A Manager/Coach/Captain mode.
3. More enjoyable bowling and fielding (esp in tests)
4. Umpire Decision Review System with Hotspot
5. Lots of features that get unlocked during the playing time, so that the game can be enjoyed for long.
6. A game which works without too high graphics requirements like the EA FIFA series, for which, my nVidia 8400 is enough.

The reason why I say that statistical tracking is the most important feature of a cricket game is that it gives the game meaning and purpose. You want to keep playing it; the game is now dynamic and changing for you.
