Things you wish you didn't see live?

Thing I wish I never saw live in 2009 is summed up by this picture pretty well:

I stayed up to watch Forrest take on arguably the greatest fighter in the world, Anderson Silva at UFC 101, and the guy got destroyed. Forrest couldn't get near him, trying to strike with him and just getting knocked on his arse. After getting KTFO Forrest sprinted from the Octagon and wasn't heard from for a good 3-4 weeks. Was hard to watch. Not nice seeing your favourite fighter and a quality bloke like Forrest getting schooled like that, was worse than watching Broady get spanked about Durban by Yuvraj Singh.

The Albuquerque Young Christian Womans Association Quilt-Throwing Championships, Southern Division, Semi-Final, Second Leg;

Lindsy Rawson-MacGabbit versus two times winner Agnes Dartmoor-Gruntfield:

Lindsy strayed offside with a Rasinsky Neck Swirl and there was no coming back from that, not when Agnes unleashes a Mounted Shoulder Lunge first up in the second quarter.

Gutted I was, gutted!:)

2007 rugby world cup semi-final :facepalm

Luckily you said which year :laugh

The T20 v India at the G. Most boring stuff ever, except when we gave Gilly a standing ovation.
Waste of money.

Yeah, same as us. I was shattered when I heard we lost to the Poms, and then after I heard about the NZ-France game I was :rtfl

This thread is about things that you wish you hadnt seen live. The T20 WC 2007 final and 2008 Sydney test were breathtaking matches and even though India lost the Sydney test, the game was terrific (the controversies actually made it spicier). Also Pakistan lost the T20 WC 2007 only by 5 runs and that too with only 3 balls to go. One shot and they would have ended up champions.

For me, its the following games

2003 WC final - Had a great build up to the game, woke up so early for it and was deflated

India vs Pakistan in Pakistan - Dont know when this was, but Ijaz Ahmed (Pakistan) hit one of the fastest centuries in that game and absolutely murdered us.

India vs South Africa at Eden Gardens - The shameless crowd of Eden rooted for South Africa because Ganguly was not picked in the Indian team. UTTERLY DISGUSTING ACT!!

The Eden crowd might have been shameful that day, but equally shameful was the act of some of the Indian team officials, especially Greg Chappell. He, after the Indian innings was over, was deliberately making abusive and highly insulting gestures towards the Eden crowd, which was comparatively quiet until then. But after he made those signs, all hell broke close, and the entire stadium went berserk, shouting madly for South Africa, and chanting slogans against Chappell and the other Indian team officials. If you can't take it yourself, then why give it? I'm not trying to defend the Eden crowd, only pointing out the circumstances which led to the escalation of a shameful act like that, while the match was on. And if I remember correctly, Chappell didn't receive any punishment from the BCCI for such a disgusting thing. But in the contrary, the BCCI came hard on Eden, and didn't allow it to host another ODI for the next 3 years. Why should this be?

Sehwag getting out on 293 against Sri Lanka. I actually saw it live. Had a seat of the west stand during that test match.
