We Should File an Official Complaint (Response from 505 Games post 99)

i feel no sympathy for anyone who bought it.

members here definitely knew enough about the game not to purchase it, both regards to the developer behaviour and the quality of the game.

non-members finding the game on steam, seeing no gameplay video in the trailer, a few s**t screen shots and the worst manual i have ever seen, they shouldn't have bought it.

caveat emptor. you got ripped off dhump... it's your fault.

i have these magic beans, pm me if you're interested.

To be honest, i expected it to be no worse than there last game IC 2010, but this is just an unfinished game and as i have played it for a while now i can safely say it does not play how a cricket game should let me explain.
You can run out any AI batsman just by throwing the ball back and forth from bowler to wicket keeper and the AI will run then u get him out everytime.
You can bowl a no ball and if you get him out it will say hes not out from the no ball then immediatly say hes out right after it.
I have also seem many times fielders chasing the ball stuttering all over the place unable to pick up the ball, and i even ran 18 runs this way.
I have lost wickets many times by apparently edging a ball even tho i was nowhere near it.
I also have been bowled and given out when the stumps havent even been hit.
This is why i believe we should all be refunded because the game isnt even playable with these bugs, they have no excuses for releasing this in an unfinished state and thats a fact.

If I step into 505's shoes for a second, I would say.

On your first complaint, if at all bothered to reply :
"Sorry for the inconvenience, we are working with our crew to get users' inputs to get the list of bugs reported. We, as a franchise, will definitely discuss on the action item to take, be it a next version or a patch to cover these bugs. Hoping to see your continued support for buying this, we will get back once latest news/decision has been made".

After a while, if any follow ups made :

" Thanks for contacting the technical support. Unfortunately, we are yet to hear the final decision of any patches/versions. We will get back when some decision is made "

After a while again, on following up :

"Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately there is no news yet to be heard on the bugs reported. We are working in assessing them, no decisions made at this point. We will keep you posted. "

And then, we will just give up being tired of mailing them! Or, same pattern of replies would reach to you.

There is no way, I am seeing a refund. They have not done anything harmful except for releasing a game full of bugs. Buying or not, its user's choice. If one wants to care too much on the quality, one should have waited for the first review. None kept any sword on the throat forcing to buy this. :thumbs

Dont believe it to be the case. if I buy a tin of tuna at my supermarket and see when I get home that it is moldy I take it back and get my money back.

people have bought this game in good faith. Yes I believe that PC members should have been savvy enough to wait for a review but on the other hand if a product is broken it should be refunded.

Personally speaking I don't really care about the refund just as long as Trickstar & 505's reputation takes an absolute battering.

@Dutch, Yeah I also get that. It is frustrating. But the term 'Broken' is something which I would understand it to be - Game getting crashed on playing, game doesn't even load, or you getting to play football when it was mentioned as cricket.

But seeing a player jogging, dancing, not running - all these are technical bugs, which is something not volidated as per the agreement terms they have mentioned in the game. I do agree that, it's frustrating for us to see those bugs but it just doesn't fall under right category. If franchise wasn't bothered to make public announcement of release dates, why will they bothered to hear on bugs as 'broken' category. They would only do it, if they wanted to build a good reputation with we customers but it has always been on other side when comes to AC13 Vs customer friendliness.

Most online distribution outlets will give you a discount if you ask for one the first time, provided it isn't regularly. I'd warn you if you have a lot of steam games; because when I got my money back from Amazon for SimCity; EA just banned me from Origin, so I'd watch out...

you're right it's unfinished, unplayable... i just question why on earth anyone here on these forums thought it would be worth paying for?

Extremely sad to see that most of the members do not understand point of this thread and keep insisting on 20$ (who the hell cares about 20$) and who the hell needs you sympathies.Point is that anyone who as a consumer feel cheated have right to complain and point was to create awareness that it should be used, it is not important that you get needed answer but everyone should file the complain so next time if they do such things they should think about it.

Another point is that those who bought this game and tried playing it can exactly tell how it feels like unlike others whom have seen the video and read the reviews (most of use used this logic in favor of DBC why cant be used against Ashes 2011)

No, most of the members disagree with you and have told you you're wasting your time. Take the hint.

Not forcing anyone to agree with me.....But really like all those whom are agreeing (there are some).. Point of forum is freedom of speech (I am not offending anyone) so please keep you suggestions to your self "You are also wasting your time" Move one and browse around other threads.

Thanks but no thanks.

You know this is a forum right? Not a chat room... I'll browse and comment on whatever threads I like. You're wrong. Deal with it...

You know I know what I know and do what I feel like doing.... and will comment and post in any thread I like and write anything I want to. No you are wrong. Deal with It.

I actually get it. So does everyone else... including Admins, Mods and Senior members. I reiterate... you're wasting your time and starting to embarrass yourself now...

You weren't forced to buy the game, and sadly you only have yourself to blame

Smart money was on waiting for a review and walking away.

Curiosity cost the cat $20.

You pays your money, you takes your choice.:yes

I dont think it's going to do any good....

I am all for filing complaints if it helps cricket gaming as a whole. But it doesn't, this thing will be ignored.

You knew all along what to expect and the quality of this game. I see no one but yourself at fault here.

As many members have pointed out (incl myself), any PC member who has been here more than 2 minutes knew from all the signs (the manual alone) this game would be no good.

Strongly advise just dropping it. You're starting to get a little silly and will not be taken seriously. No-one is filing a complaint to anyone for a dumb game that sounded dumb, looked dumb and shock, horror... IS dumb.

Everyone handing over money for this knew exactly what they were getting into.

There's no "law" on the internet that says a game should be good if people buy it.

Strongly advise just dropping it. You're starting to get a little silly and will not be taken seriously.

And at the same time I am not asking you to advice me on what to do with my time and I have places where I really cared to be taken seriously all or most of the times (and planet cricket forum is not one of them).

I strongly disagree with your advice plus if Admin,Mods,Staff and Senior members like they can remove lock or do anything with this thread I will not be bothered. I felt something and posted it and it is not at all important that admin, mods, senior members should agree with everything I post. (as long as I am not offending anyone)

Secondly point of forum is to debate and everyone can say what ever they feel and as long as I and others want to participate can participate it is no bodies job to tell me now I have presented my case enough and should stop. If at any-point of time I feel that what I am suggesting is wrong I might write it in this thread and drop it. (If you feel like waiting for it I have no objections)

Above all you are being unnecessarily rude for no reason which is not very polite and nice for me so I am kind of forced to write back in this manner.

Dhump, you ever payed for fish and chips and then had a long drive home to find the chips burned and the fish overcooked, most people would just except you payed for a lemon as simple as that. So like other have said just move on and hope Bigant have some good news for us soon.:thumbs
