We Should File an Official Complaint (Response from 505 Games post 99)

I guess we all didnt expect this game to be as bad as it is, i think thats the real reason dhump is angry. How a developer could possibly release the game in this state is beyond me didnt they play test it first.
Is this the reason there were no videos or trailers with footage in it, they have fooled us big time.

Tell me were you sure that this game would be so bad as it is ?? please tell me the truth are you not single bit shocked by the quality ?

it's much worse than I expected, I admit.

but:
1)the developers/publishers released no gameplay trailer, no assets, no nothing... they had nothing they were proud of showing
2)the developers/publishers made no announcement whatsoever to accompany release, it just turned up on steam
3)2 of the screenshots showed the delivery "donut" half way down the pitch being played by the batsman off the front pitch
4)the controller outline in the manual showed no front/back foot shot selection
5)the fact of 4 indicates that in 3, the decision to play off the front foot was made by the AI
6)the controller data indicated an extremely limited gameplay experience

it was obvious beforehand that there was no reason to buy this game. I stated somewhere on the forum I thought only MattW and Ross had any justification to buy it, and that was before the game released.

you made an extremely poor consumer decision. live with it. i own a pair of red trousers; they were red on the hanger in the shop too. i don't feel the need to take them back to Gap and complain that they are in fact red and i look like a tw*t.

Yer i agree, i knew it wasnt gonna be good but honestley not this broken to the fact of being embaressing to the developers.
14 quid i could care less about, but i do have sympathy for dhump as he probably wanted this game to be good like we all did.

Dhump, you ever payed for fish and chips and then had a long drive home to find the chips burned and the fish overcooked, most people would just except you payed for a lemon as simple as that. So like other have said just move on and hope Bigant have some good news for us soon.

It was not an incident that I need to move on from but if I paid for fish and chips and got a shoe in my shopping back I would at-least voice my complain and this is the point nothing more. Those whom are fine with shoe instead of fish and chips are not forced to do anything. Yes I am always waiting for bigant to come up with good news Ashes was never the priority.

I am quite sure Stoney this was not the game they were working on before. I have seen footage of some motion capture artist bowling and batting in one of Mike Fegan videos and also that vine video it is totally different game. They got stuck into something and just to fulfill the contract dumped all the stuff they got into Unity 3D (engine) and created a quick dirty game which is not playable at all.

I am shocked that 505Games published this.

Only reason I bought this game was that I thought it will be as good as lets say (mindstorm studios game cricket revolution) which is fine for me to cost 20$ with official license and another reason which I posted may be 10 months ago even on same forum " that I buy all cricket games that are publish".

Now what they provided is seriously cheating if you dont feel the need to complain you should not I feel that way thats why I posted this thread so others should also chip in 2 voices are louder than one.

I never expected this game to be better than DB14 or anything but I am shocked that they really cheated us with this which is shameful.

Are these the same guys who made IC 2010 coz that was far better not brilliant but playable and only bug i found was online disconnects.

I'm sorry. just re-read my numbered points again... this was all known, obvious facts before anyone had played the game for even a second. if you still thought the game might be worth even only $20, if you thought it would be even playable, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

if the game was going to be playable, they'd have shown game play footage.

you didn't need to crack the rosetta stone, you just had to apply a little discernment and critical thinking.

505/trickstar behaved shockingly, and it's disgusting they released this game. i am 100% with you on that, and I guarantee everyone else here agrees. but how you can feel cheated i don't get - it was obvious you should never ever ever have bought the game.

Theres a player on ashes game called Biggs he plays for new zealand he also does that stutter dance.

this seems to be the basis of your complaint, and you are wrong. they were always - always always always - working in Unity. whiteniness has shown a few examples of games created in that which looked stunning. it's not the engine, it's the developers.

it's a shit game. it's been clear to everyone for a long time it was going to be a shit game. you bought the shit game. it's honestly your fault.
