West Indies in Australia

Neither, time for us to look else where. Infact time for the ACB to hire me as the all rounder finder :D
When they hire you then you know me right, I can bowl, bat, filed, keep anything lol. :D

Well the Windies have the batsmen to match or better this 1st innings Aussie score. Gayle, Lara and Chanderpaul are all capable of hitting big scores.

But then the pitch is clearly going to favour the Aussie bowlers and a Windies collapse is very much possible.

Should be swing which would help Bracken. Variable bounce should help Lee and McGrath. And Warne goes well on the Gabba.

Hussey, Katich, Clarke, and Watson all going cheaply. Can't really put to much blame on them though as it seems only the most experienced players are making the runs, must be a difficult pitch. The swing was there and did do a bit, the seamers did nicely. It just seems to me that experience is whats needed on such a pitch. Maybe we would of been better with Martin back, and Langer being injured never helped, but I think experience is what was needed.

Thats why we need to give these other players a little more time, Hussey is new to test cricket, could have 5 years in him, once he gets a bit of experience he should be fine, clarke has had a while but not overly to long, if he don't show something over the next 6 months we could be looking else where. Watson is new to test Cricket, give him a bit more time to see what he is capable of. Katich has some experience but no where near Hayden, Gilly and Ponting, and once again give him another 6 months of being consistantly in the team to see what he can do.

But if Katich and Clarke don't do anything in the next 6 months or so I think it's the door for them, Hussey and Watson could need a year or more, and if they don't look like doing much it's the door for them to. But the next Question is where does that leave us?

It leaves us with having to introduce more inexperienced players, it'll be like a cycle. But that brings me to my next question, should we show them the door soon and just try rebuild with a slightly more youthful team? Or do we just keep introducing 30 odd year old debutons?

The way Collymore bowled, he made it very hard for the new batsmen. Katich and Clarke were part of this. Sadly they can't keep using the excuse that they got out to a good ball. They need to keep out these good balls and go on to score big scores.

I don't think we should keep introducing 30 year old debutons because we don't really have many left after Hussey and Hodge. The rest are much younger or much older.

To be fair to Clarke it looked like he got a beauty from the clip i've seen? Collymore looks to me as though he's turning into a very, very good test bowler.
