I dont really think Australia really need an all rounder, alot of the batsmen can bowl a few overs if needed

I actually wouldn't mind his batting. Symonds is similar to Pietersen. Able to change a match in no time. That is what we are missing after before Gilly comes in.

Maybe, but alot of the time if he tries to bat at a slower rate he just gets out, just not his natural game.

Pretty much, although I do remember some ODI games where he did it successfully. If he could change his game plan like Pietersen he would be in the test side easily.
