West Indies in Australia

I hope Symonds plays such a good innings, he can't be denied by the selectors. Just like Lee did in the first Test match against England.

The great thing about those batsmen is that there's not one player in there who wouldn't try to take the bowlers on with a bit of risk and flair.

That would have been me if I was in England :)

Good on Symonds for not changing his game although if we require it I hope he like Pietersen can bat sensibily until we are safe again. Then take off again!

The e-mail came from Australia. :)

He plays pretty secure in the ODI's except when he enters at the end over the overs. If he plays like that I am sure he will succeed. I hope though they don't kick him out if he doesn't impress too much.

Windies denied net bowlers again

For the second time in eight days, the local club bowlers Cricket Australia are mandated to provide for the touring team's practice session did not show up yesterday at Junction Oval, home of St Kilda Cricket Club and venue for the three-day match against Victoria starting Saturday

It appears Australia are trying anything to disrupt the West Indies' preperations.

I actually read it before you posted this. It's pretty bad that they can't prepare well.

Hodge is carving up the West Indies attack. 155 off 160 balls with Victoria 255/2 with the only WI wicket taker yet again being Samuels. Other wicket was from a run out.
