West Indies in India Nov 2011/12

Was it a good move to recall Irfan in the Indian squad?

And cement his place in the squad, only to fail in Australia.:noway

but we can't blame yuvraj for it.. Pujara got injured in IPL, raina flopped and kohli didn't do anything to impress in those 3 test matches.
But i do feel we need a left hander in middle-order as we already have too many right-hand batsman.

India's most young batsman are Right-hand

Well we have just gifted wickets. Run out, stumping lazy shot from Laxman, man this is not the best of starts for this series but lets hope for the best

----------

and another gift!! Yuvraj fails :p

----------

Big test for Dhoni and as usual Dravid our best hopes :p Also we dont have a tail who can bat well like Harbhajan used to do but yes some call Ashwin an bowling all rounder

----------

Dhoni fails!! This is ???? cricket from India

Dhoni gone..

Batting fourth on that pitch is tougher than batting on green-top..

Dhoni played like a tail-ender. Middle order batsmen failed.

This is what I meant missing bhajji's aggressive batting here which could lessen the deficit somewhat

So these two - Dravid & Ishanth have added 31. The best thing for India is to push another 60 runs or so. Maybe bowled out 240-250. The more the better.

Then knock off WI for 130 odd :p Then Sehwag and co. knocking off the required 200 odd for a win. :p

Easier said than done :rolleyes

Great comeback by the Windies after worrying signs early. This Dravid/Sharma partnership is becoming a bit of a nuisance though, hope they get the breakthrough soon.

nisarg: "At the risk of jinxing the pair playing, I think Dravid and Ishant have shown here how test cricket has to be played - with bit of an application, and not with over-confidence and self-bravado!"

This one comes from Cricinfo and tweaking a wicket goes!! fearsome tweak you Nisarg!! Bastard!! Good hand by Ishant tbf though

----------

Seriously, India lost the plot!! They thought to attack attack attack! Plan A was successful with Gambhi and Sehwag providing the perfect start but middle order collapsed they needed plan c instead of plan b that is defend and keep wicket intact :(

----------

Thats it!! 95 runs lead so far for West Indies and it seems its going to be over pretty soon!! Man this is not good we will be playing to save this test? That too against West Indies?

----------

Thats it!! 95 runs lead for West Indies and we need atleast 3-4 wickets before end of days play may be all out for West Indies :p

Yeah, not much respect shown to the Windies bowlers. That little bit of luck on Gambhir's dismissal seemed to go a long way.

Oh My God ....Foolish people :lol Brainless people :mad A website has put the following headline -

Tendulkar misses 100th ton

Any person who has not followed the day's proceedings will think Sachin got out in the 90's :p

windies maybe missed the chance from 269/5 to put up nearer 350 than the 304 they posted, last five wickets going down for 35 runs, and again when India were 154/7 the windies didn't kill them off and may come to regret it.

Nicely poised though, might have a zimmers-esque finale. These kind of matches are far more entertaining than those with 400+ totals. When was the last Test played to involve a total over 420? How many ago was it?

yeah but still what can dhoni do about his team's poor shot selection i don't know when Sub continent media will stop criticizing the captain for team's pathetic performances because of players own mistakes .Such a difficult job really for me a captain should be judged on his field placings, bowling changes and pressure handling skills not on batsmen's poor shots. Why do you hire coach then? But as far his batting is concerned he needs to do a bit work

Talking about match i think WI will throw this advantage away and India will have to chase hardly 250 and they'll do it
