Chris Gayle said:
"Not really, he's that sort of person," Gayle said. "I didn't expect anything better, so that's typically Shane Watson, he's a passionate person. That's how he expresses himself but maybe he just overdid it a bit, but that's Shane Watson."

Sorta lost respect for Gayle after that. No need to add fuel to the fire, not what you expect out of a captain.

No way Gazza, Gayle was right, Watson is a trailer trash piece of garbage and thats how you'd expect them to behave

Have you ever looked in the mirror?

You old rich piece of garbage that has only ever showed love to Waylon Smithers. You make me sick.

Seriously, i'm never coming back here if I have to put up with ANY cricketer being called "trailer trash piece of garbage". Those sort of posts are not what I expect here, WAY out of line, and I must say offensive.

dhoni gets a 2 match ban for slow over rate, Benn gets a ban for playing a part in an on-field incident and australians get off with fines (and also Ponting has been behind the over rate in at least 3 matches in very recent memory, SL T20, CT semi, 4th ODI in india).

Yeah it's not good. Australia have a history of slow over-rates themselves. Now don't get me wrong, if this is something new they've bought in then it's good. Slow over-rates are annoying. The game is long enough without overtime. But unless they're consistent with it and every side gets penalized the same way it's unfair.

As for the Benn incident they all played a part. They all probably should have got a 1 match ban IMO.

As for the review. They didn't show snicko, if something showed up on snicko then it might have been an excellent decision. I don't get why the umpires can't use ALL tools available to them. But whatever.

Oh and i'm not surprised about the Watson hate. He acts like a prat out on the field. I'm not a fan myself.

That's because we pay the umpires a lot of money to make bad decisions that go in our favour.

Would you blame me if I thought that all West Indian fans were sore losers based on your performance in this thread?

You're going way overboard on this one. It was an animated celebration, sure, but it wasn't the worst thing in the world. Benn's offence was physical, which makes it clearly worse.

If by being physical you mean someone walking into your hand/finger as you're looking at someone else then sure, Benn was physical. After watching the full clip on youtube Benn really doesn't do anything to Johnson at all, it's pretty much:

- Benn's pointing at Haddin with "his" eyes soley on him
- Mitchell Johnson walks across and get's in between both of them and Benn's finger/hand grazes up on Johnson's shoulder
- Benn looks down and just as he does that Johnson pushes him in the ribs
- Benn reacts and try's to push Johnson of him using his arm also

IMO all three of them should of been banned for at least a game, there was no need for Haddin to come back down the pitch pointing his bat at Benn behaving like some sort of macho man and doing this started the whole dam thing.

Also, I'd like to know how Shane Watson only lost 15% of his match fee, he gave Gayle a send off and the last person I remember getting fined for doing such a thing got 80% (Watson's IMO was far worse also). It was good to see however Ricky Ponting taking charge when this happened as he didn't look to happy during this incident.

As for the Windies, well played. I really expected them to give the Aussie's a real fight this summer (where the heck is Hooper now :p) and although they didn't win a test they showed how good they can be. A fully fit West Indies team is far better then the number eight ranked side in the world, IMO they're comfortably better then both Pakistan and New Zealand.

Team of the series:

1.Chris Gayle (C)
2.Shane Watson
3.Simon Katich
4.Michael Hussey
5.Brendon Nash
6.Dwayne Bravo
7.Brad Haddin (WK)
8.Mitchell Johnson
9.Sulieman Benn
10.Kemar Roach
11.Doug Bollinger

Honourable mentions: Ben Hilfenhaus and Travis Dowlin
