Recently I have been getting emulators and playing some of the older games, there are some great games and they are just not made in the same way today, too much emphasis on graphics and sound and not enough on anything else whereas these older games couldn't have all the flashy graphics so had to have good gameplay to get people to buy it and it shows when you play them, much more effort has been taken making these older games.

Initial devlopment takes all the brain. After that they just modify some of the stuff and present it as new when you know you will be playing everything old but looking good with graphics enhancement.

Probably that why Mario still rules everones heart. There were some games in Japan which never made way to west during initial Nintendo years and they were awesome.
