Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first. Scotland got off to a fantastic start with the first partnership adding upto 107. But Hogg made the breakthrough dismissing Lockhart LBW for 57. Watts went 1 run later for 46 again LBW to Hogg. English made 12 before falling to Hogg LBW for the third time. Stanger went next, when the score was at 142, for just 4 bowled by Hogg. The skipper Craig White fell for 38 after a good captains knock to Shane watson being bowled. Watson went for 20 being caught LBW by Hogg and was Hogg's fifth victim. Smith the wicketkeeper went LBW to Watson for 16 and Sing fell moments later run out by Hussey for a duck. Maiden went for 14 caught by McGrath off the bowling of Watson. Finally Blain fell too Watson for 9 caught by Hussey and Scotland ended up on 222.

Australia started off better than Scotland did with a 128 first wicket partnership between Gilchrist and Hayden. Hayden went first just short of his half century bowled by Wright caught by Stanger. Gilchrist followed 18 runs later for 63 caught by Watts off Singh's bowling. Ponting made 23 before being caught LBW by Watson. Martyn followed 39 runs later for 21 bowled Blain caught Singh. Hussey followed straight after for 23 bowled Maiden caught Lockhart. Jaques then went for 8 bowled by Watson with 26 runs still needed and only 4 wickets in hand. Hogg went for 8 bowled Watson caught Williamson but Lee(8*) and Watson(14*) saw Australia home with 3 wickets to spare.

Good first up win for Australia. Hopefully the can get the ball rolling and win some more games :).

Aussies managed to win by three wickets!!! But was a great performance by Scotties to make the close match against Aussies eventhough they lost it!!!

An incredible thing has happened here in the Caribbean. Ahead of the game between Bermuda and Sri Lanka a bomb has gone off in the hotel where the players are staying. We belive no one has been killed but a few have been injured. It is believed there will be an ICC meeting later today but it is more than likely the 2007 World Cup will be abandoned. For more announcements stay here on Sky Sports News...
