New Zealand start steady

New Zealand have started the chase of 235 down steady with Vincent and Sinclair batting well forming a dangerous partnership. Lou Vincent was unbeaten on 34, and Sinclair was on 38. A partnership of 76 bout the exact same by Strauss and Bell and the identical score, now for England's sake they really desperatly need a wicket here to keep the scores equal.
Lou Vincent has played 64 balls making 34, taking his time to make the runs, Hasnt hit the rope yet, making no boundaires for his 34 but did smack Harmison out of the ground for 6. Sinclair on the other hand has played 56 balls for his 38, hitting the boundary 3 times. New Zealand look in a comanding position with Fleming, Astle and McMillian to come. England really need a wicket right about now, or in the next 2-3 overs, to get the ball rolling.

cool presentation again dear keep it up

41 overs gone, New Zealand 151/4 need 84 runs to win

New Zealand are in a good position just needing 84 runs to win from 9 overs to get. The run rate as we speak is 9.33 from New Zealand, bigger then England at this stage. So going on by stats New Zealand are in commanding postion to take the win, but remeber last game, Freddy Flintoff came in and took 5 cheaps wickets in the space of 5-6 overs, can he or another England bowler do that again?
The score has been built from Sinclair's 60 run innings before he was bowled by Michael Vaughan and caught by Ashley Giles, which England really didnt need was someone like Sinclair to post a big score like he did, And Vincent added to the misery with 40. Vaughan struck again with the wicket of Stephen Fleming just early in the Fleming Innings getting Fleming out for a low score of 9.
Even the dangerous Nathan Astle couldnt find the big score, only making 16 himself, a down on form since his World Series campaign. Craig McMillian and Hamish Marshall are in for New Zealand at the current time, McMillian on 6* and Marshall making 12 at the moment. New Zealand are 151/4 with 9 overs reamaining. Can they finish, or will England's bowlers be too good again.

England de ja vu

England have secured their 2nd win in the Commonwealth bank series against New Zealand. In the 1st game it was Flintoff that was the hero, but this time it was Captain Stephen Fleming the hero for England, take 6 wickets to save his team from a defeat from New Zealand. England needed 6 wickets to take with 84 runs to get for New Zealand, and England in the end, took it easily, with Vaughan and Anderson doing the job for the Poms. After Craig McMillian and Hamish Marshall making their contributions of McMillian 30 and Marshall 29, it was nothing from then on in for New Zealand. Just another 10 runs were added to the total 10 from just 5 players. New Zealand's tail enders not helping the team out with the run chase, which leaves them now 2 losses so far in the Series, and England on top with 2 wins for the series. Like we said Michael Vaughan should be man of the match, taking 6 wickets from 8.4 overs, 2 maidens and 24 runs conceeded. Just a brilliant display of bowling from the captain, and the funny thing is, Vaughan isnt a regular bowler for England but decided to have a bowl this time, and won the game for England in the end.

Top 3 post a good score, but is it enough for the Aussies?

Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden and Ricky Ponting have starred in the Australia Innings at the SCG in the match against New Zealand in the 3rd game of the Commonwealth Bank Series. It was Gilchrist and Haydne that really got the ball rolling for the Aussies, with both men hitting the boundaires. It was a 103 partnership before the Kiwi's could do something about it, and it was Tuffey that did something about that partnership, doing all the work himself, bowling to Gilchrist and catching Gilchrist all in the one motion. Gilchrist faced 54 balls for his 42 runs. Hitting 3 boundaries, and something he is special at, hit a 6 into the crowd, about 10 rows back of Vettori.
The Kiwi's finally had their breakthrough, but things just got worse, captain Ricky Ponting arguably the best batsman in the world was in at number 3, and with Hayden performing well at the other end, it seemed like another good partnership would be forming.
But in the end, it wasnt a great partnership, just 20 runs together before Hayden was dismissed. Hayden who was looking to make his one day century as he already pasted the half century mark earlier in the day, looked comfortable on 67, but it was the spin of Daniel Vettori that got Hayden off guard and missing the ball completely to be bowled out by Vettori. Australia 133/2 look in good stead with Ponting at the crease and Michael Clarke joining him.
Ricky Ponting made a solid 36 before he was bowled by Tuffey again, Tuffey's 2nd wicket in the match. Ponting hit 36 from 28 balls, smashing 7 boundaries. But after those 3 men, Australia looked poor in the batting sense. Mike Hussey was the next highest scorer on 20.
So Australia are fighting a 237 lead, can New Zealand fight their way through this one?

New Zealand were chasing down 237

And with the help of Captain Stephen Fleming, they easily passed the Australian score of 237. A 77 score for Fleming helped New Zealand win the match against the Aussies to put them 2nd in the Commonwealth Bank Series behind England and ahead of Australia. Stephen Fleming knocked 77 from 106 balls, including 9 boundaires. Fleming 77 was now out with spinner Hogg taking the wicket and Gilchrist the catcher. Fleming wasnt the only player to play well and make a good knock. Lou Vincent in the top order made 34, Nathan Astle at number 4 also made 34 and Craig McMillian showed why he is as good with the bat as he is with the balls knotching 32. Nathan Astle and Daniel Vettori were the only players to tonk a Aussie into the crowd. But it was Stephen Flemings day with a match high 77.
New Zealand had no trouble knocking down Australia's score, and now the once was dominant team in the world, find themselves 1 game, 1 loss so far in the Commonwealth Bank Series, and they will have to take on England in Game 4 in 2 days time.
