England play mind games with Australia releasing a 2005 Ashes Video

The England cricket team, isnt worried about the Commonwealth Bank Series, they have their eyes set on the Ashes Series that will follow the Commonwealth Bank Series in a few weeks time. England in 2005 won the ashes after 18 years of domination by Australia, and they will travell to Australia to try and win back the Ashes from Australia who won last year's series 5-0. Shane Warne was apart of that Australian side, but he is on the other side of the wagon now, releasing a 2005 Video everywhere in England and Australia, to try and play mind games with the Australia Team.

Channel 9 has a copy of the Video, and will show you the preview

Australia beaten again by No-Name bowlers

England are getting used to defeating teams by bowling well. And its usually not their main bowlers that do the job, like Harmison, Anderson or Hoggard. 1st game against New Zealand it was Andrew Flintoff with 6 wickets, 2nd game against New Zealand was Michael Vaughan with 6 wickets, and this time the 3rd game vs Australia was Paul Collingwood with 4 wickets. All of them maybe except Flintoff are batsman, and no one knew they had the talent with the ball aswell, Collingwood has been used before in the one day matches as a fill in bowler, but never really troubled the batsman what so ever, but today was awsome in the field. Stephen Harmison took 5 catches for the match, all 5 catches were on the boundary, as the Australians wanted to make a big score tried to hit the ball hard, but always landed to Harmison.
Collingwood in the end bowled 10 overs, 4 maidens, 37 runs and 4 wickets from the match, just needs to help his team make the chase for 203 and he will be probably declared man of the match. Collingwood comes in at number 4 for England, who will start their Innings soon.
Andrew Flintoff was again a star in bowling, getting 3 wickets himself, and now is one of the top players in the series for Wickets overall.
Australia had a poor day at the crease. With Michael Clarke being Australia's best with 44, Gilchrist not far behing on 39 and Hayden on 29. England look to have this game in the bag, and if they win, will defiently have a postition in the Finals of the Commonwealth Bank Series, and more importantly, have alot of confidence for the Ashes coming up after the Commonwealth Bank Series.

86 from Vaughan not enough for England

A birlliant innings from Michael Vaughan and Andrew Strauss wasnt enough for England to defeat Australia. They would of beaten them if there were more overs, but there Wasnt and Australia have beaten England in the Commonwealth Bank Series. Ian Bell didnt have the game he was hoping, only last 4 runs before he edged the ball to Stuart Clark and bowled by Glenn MGrath and afte that England looked settled. Andrew Strauss finally made the flock hold, after dissapointing form of late, but made today count. Really looked in control out in the middle today despite the wonderful bowling from McGrath and Stuart Clark, but it was Strauss and Vaughan that really got the crowd going. But they ran out of overs, just falling 13 runs short of Australia's today, but Vaughan and Strauss will gain alot of confidence from todays efforts, ecspecially Andrew Strauss who has been down on form, hasnt gone on, and not in great touch. But hit 74, his best in the one day compettion so far. But it was Michael Vaughan that really shone for England, they needed someone to stand up after the departure of Bell so early in the match, needed someone to match a tone, but it wasnt to be, and now England have lost a game, but still on top of the table. Both New Zealand and Australia are on 1 win each. Things are starting to hot up in the Commonwealth Bank Series

Left to right: Andrew Strauss found some good form again, and made a 50 for England against Australia, Vaughan would be dissapointed not to make a one day 100

Australia isnt intimidated about the 2005 Ashes Video released by Shane Warne and the England Cricket club

Australia's captain Ricky Ponting said in a press conference after their match against England in the Commonwealth Bank Series, that he and his men arent intimidated by the 2005 Ashes Video that ex team mate Shane Warne and the England Cricket team released earlier in the week to remind the Aussies what happened in the Ashes Series in England in 2005. Ponting says we arent worrying about the tape, because we are still have our minds on the task at hand now, the Commonwealth Bank Series. Ponting admits that they have been looking ahead to the Series, but they arent getting carried away.
Ponting told Channel 9 that the Aussies have watched the video tape from the Poms, but they arent intimidated what so ever, Ponting says bring it on.

Kevin Peitersen opens, and kills

England young batsman Kevin Pietersen asked captain Michael Vaughan if he could open the batting with Andrew Strauss for the last game of the Commonwealth Bank Series before the finals, just to mix up the batting lineup and give Pietersen some freedom to play the ball well. Pietersen over the summer has only avereaged 20 per match well down of his form. But tonight got the oppourtunity to bat up the order with Andrew Strauss and what a partnership they formed. 116 partnership from Pietersen and Strauss to set up England nicely. Andrew Strauss played well for his 32 before being knocked over by Brett Lee and caught by Gilchrist played 59 balls, and hitting 3 boundaires along the way. But it was Kevin Pietersen that put on the show for England. A half century was his first landmark, and he acheived that easily with no troubles what so ever. Over the Summer Pietersen has had no space and time to play his shots, but tonight played every shot they way he wanted to play them. Hit a high 80 runs before Hogg striked for Australia and Hayden at 1st slip catching Pietersen out. A wonderful 80 from 79 deliveries, with 8 boundaires and more importantly 4 sixes throughout the match.
Michael Vaughan himself made a good contribution to the scoreboard making 40 from 27, also hitting 8 boundaires and smaching a six himself. Geriat Jones scored 38 in the latter stages of the match and Ashley Giles pitched in with 23 of his own.
England have set up with a good chasing period with 253 to win.
