World Cup 2011 PC game coming from Codies!

Or take Modern Warfare 2 as an example, most pirated game of 2009.
How you know?:sarcasm...Just kidding:p

More the game is popular, more the piracy will be there. But if it is nicely protected, sales will be more than the loss due to piracy. Indians/Pakistanis are the best pirates in the world.

John Szoke: Our first goal is to finish IC2010 and see how it is received. Then we’ll begin discussing where we need to take the game and what platform best meets that need.

lol he's just getting the people to buy the game. Coddies know they are releasing the game 4 days after THE World Cup that the world watches begins so sales probably might not be as impressive as A09. PS3/X360 are going to get a 2011 Cricket game from Coddies no matter what :D

They were working on one, but arent releasing!...God only knows when they gonna release one!

That's speculation at this point. EA were working on a game which was supposed to be released in 2009 (EA International Cricket 2009) but the game was shelved and EA hasn't made any official statement regarding any further release of a cricket game.

But EA could release a game in time for Ashes later this year or world cup early next year since they do hold some of the ICC licenses.

Both EA and Codies are going to clash in World Cup 2011 which is going to be started in Feb 2011. As a result EA hasn't released their game in 2009, which is fully licensed from ICC. They are improving the game for world cup 2011.:happy

Yeah Harsha's EA 2009 reveal pretty much confirmed EA are still current holders of the ICC license.

Codies might be targeting world cup for their next release but EA may put a new game out in time for ashes later this year since most of the revenue is generated from UK and Aus for cricket games.

if at all India wasnt a victim for pirated games, then India would have been the biggest market for most the games...

Hmmm that entry is interesting, looks like it was updated by EA on 4th May 2010. You can even pre-order the game, seems to be PC only and will only be available via a digital download.
