PC version - Codies Reply to my mail

Can't believe that this stupid PC argument is still going... It's not coming out on PC, DEAL WITH IT.

Looks to me like you need a console if you want to play cricket games from now on.

First of all I was really disappointed to see the IC 2010 not releasing for PC:noway...but then the explanation given by Codies seemed to be understandable!

Maybe the Codies can try cutting off some main features if the game was pirated, like how it was done for the BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM! Maybe that would make the pirate game buyers to go for the legal one...
And the the distributor of AC09 for India (EXPRESS INTERACTIVE), needs to be appreciated for their great efforts to improve game sales:hpraise...like the introduction of e-play and charging an affordable amount for AC09 and GTAIV
And I recently read in an article that they are releasing four popular titles at the cost of just Rs.700 for Xbox 360!!!...And they would continue to distribute more new ones!

Finally, i have made up my mind to buy a new XBOX 360 gaming console because of the decision Codies have made!
FROM THEIR VIEW: Its a great profitable decision...:yes
FROM OUR VIEW: They are losing on a large fan base!!!:doh

If you really are going to get a console for just one game :doh don't get an Xbox 360 - not unless you want to have to pay for everything, from Wi Fi (extra ?50 for the adapter), to Xbox Live (?40 or so a year) as well as ?8 or so if you want to do something basic like change your gamertag. Go with the PS3 - all of the above is completely and utterly free. Plus, of course, you get a bluray drive with PS3 - and you can watch youtube on it - again, free.

MasterBlaster76 added 0 Minutes and 39 Seconds later...

You'd 'DEAL WITH IT' if it wasn't coming out on your console toy?

Ohh!...didnt knew that those extra charges apply! But ps3 seemed to cost too much more than Xbox 360???!!!

Yea but what most people dont realize is that if you buy an XBOX within 6 months it will cost you more than the ps3.

the batteries for controllers, XBOX live and all that nonsense will add up well past the extra $100 the ps3 costs.

Honestly though, perhaps you should buy a 360 though, leave ps3 for the older crowd

Other key enhancements include ‘Action Cam’, the innovative new camera that takes players right onto the pitch, and the new ‘Power Stick’ which delivers 360? degree batting control and gives players the widest selection of shots possible, from pushing quick singles to riskier slogs to the boundary.

I'm just wondering how that feature would be implemented on PC if the game was coming out anyways. In A09 you chose directions with keyboard arrow controls which are nowhere close to providing 360 degree controls. Controller sticks are tailor made for those controls though.

Only a complete idiot would try to play AC09 with the keyboard, when you have so much better control with what is fast becoming the PC's official gamepad.:)

So they should say on the box that the game is unplayable unless you have a X360-PC controller?

I don't think I've ever seen a PC game ship that isn't fully functional with its default controls (Keyboard/Mouse).

No, but if you look at Games For Windows releases, they always mention the 360 pad in the controls. It's the best pad on the PC and is one of the only ones supported by all games - recent ones, at least. They should list it in the 'recommended' section.

How much does that gamepad cost???...

@sibis: They're not losing a large fan base, as most PC users were pirates as has been discussed a million times.
