World Cup (Aus, 50overs, hard)

Line up for match against Pakistan will be the same lineup as the loss to Sri Lanka.

Pakistan won the toss and sent me in to bat. The pitch is normal, temperature is mild. My main goal this game is just to keep my wickets in hand, and look to develop some sort of partnership somewhere along the line, hopefully i can post a decent total.

15 Over match update
65/5 after 15 overs.
Gilly was unluckly run out after a fielder scored a direct hit at the stumps. Ponting made another terrible shot, and got caught out. Martin got caught playing across the stumps and was bowled. Clark was lost out there, hit no good shots and was caught cheaply, Hayden was just bowled for 32 runs. Symonds and Bevan hit the crease looking to try and save this match.

Ok, I've reformated PC, so i've started the exact same WorldCup, on HARD using Ravis new patch
First match is against Canada, my line up is

Australia 0/59 after 10. ploding along nicely, picking singles, usually down the ground to long on, and nailing boundries off anything short.

Gilly was the first player gone runout for 56. Ponting came to the crease and smashed a boundry through the onside for four, however when trying to do it the 2nd time he was caught out
. Currently Hayden (45) and Martyn (2) are at the crease. Canada has bought in one of their spinners and both players are having problems playing him.

** 30 Over update **
Australia 4/140
Hayden was balled straight away by a nice ball from a spinner for 45. The next over pretty much Lehman was C&B off a slower ball for just 8runs. Clarke is in, but only has 1run off 11 balls faced, while Martyn seems more at home with 19 off 37. My runrate has dropped off alot recently, the pitch is really working with Canada's spin bowling, some coming in a long way, some with not much turn at all. 20 overs left.

Spinners continued to slow my runrate, especially for Clarke who's not that good at playing spin, he was eventually caught and bowled for just 11. At the crease now Martyn (40) Beven (6). Both players can play the spin well and work the gaps. Havn't had a boundry in quite a while, I guess i can afford to take a few risks since i've only got 10 overs to play.

My plan was simple, have Beven and Martyn continue to push runs then make a jump at the end. Unfortunatly my plan failed early when Bevan was runout for 9. Bichel and Martyn played some nice strokes until Bichel eventually fell.. I ended up giving as much strike as i could to Martyn, he was in top form. He stayed there through the all game, and finished 82 not out. (He was actually droped on the last bowl of the day, trying to smash a six)
