Your Questions For Codemasters....

Just more information about the game, perhaps the features of the game or some screenshots. Its just so people can get information on the game but also importantly for magazines and websites to get information about the game so hopefully they can tell there readers about it and get more people interested in the game.

Bowler fatigue

i dont know if this has been mentioned before but is there going to be a factoring for the bowler's fatigue level in the game? i just bowled shoaib akhtar in cricket 2004 for 12 overs straight and he is still zipping them down at 90+ mph. The real idiot would be nursing his back in the pavilion after his 5th over. The game should account for fatigue like not being able to bowl with that much pace once he gets tired, or even increased chances of injury if you keep them on too long. Of course it will need to be different for pace bowlers and spinners who can go on for 20-30 overs without any serious problems. <-----( I am referring to test matches of course)

My wish is:

1. Captains getting out on the pitch for the toss
2. Ability to know the type of pitch & conditions during a tournament, series, etc before selecting the final XI (Cricket 2004 doesnt seem to have that!)
3. Better celebration for players when the pick a wicket, score a century, win a match, win a tournament, etc
4. Ability to update every part of the game easily (this will make BLC sell very well)
5. Greatly reduce the byes (the keeper no matter how strong he is, repeatedly gives byes)
6. The ability to restrict some players from doing jobs on the field that they do not do in real life (for e.g. i played a match in cricket 2004 with india as user against pakistan and i did not pick a specialist keeper on a dusty pitch. i found to my horror that Harbhajan Singh was keeping the wickets and I had only one spinner and few other part time spinners)
7. Unlimited faces for each player and the ability to update faces and not just allow the user to update only 20 faces or so

this is very simple but right at the heart of every cricket game.i want this game to look like a real match is being played.when the ball gets hit over the infield it usually stops dead in the grass,or just rolls a few metres, unless its hit reall flat.(whan hit quite high).in the past few game the ball has just gone on.i want the players to actually look real(their bodies.).

You're posting messages in a single day and asking everyone to reply immediately?? the gap between ur last 3 messages is 3hr 35mins (u started posting at 1:09pm) and now its 5:12pm (according to the forum time!). How do you expect the members in here to be present at the same time that u be in here???

And also 01tstraw,not many people post here in this thread.

the post i did before didn't make much sense.sorry.in the last few cricket games every time you hit it over the infield it was four.it wouldn't matter if it the grass was ten mtres tall!

'Brian Lara International Cricket'

In 'Brian Lara International Cricket' I think that there should be a much improved 'Television Broadcast' style. For example, 'Codemasters' or 'Swordfish Studios' could buy licences from some existing Television Channel or Network. This would make the game increasingly realistic and exciting.

While they may not get licenses from actual television companies, I think they have may big strides in that department by bringing in hawk-eye and the use of 6 commentators.
