I have to agree. Giving us more options to be able to tweak the game would be fantastic... :yes

Here's what I had on my mind in the AC13 thread. It may apply to this game as well. Are you going to have a variable crowd atmosphere? If not then here's a suggestion :-
The crowd can be really quiet at times, like when test matches are going on and nobody is really hitting, or when two extremely boring batsmen are batting and not really making runs through boundaries. They can cheer like crazy when batsmen go berserk and hit sixes consistently(Chris Gayle), and most of them out of the ground. A variable crowd atmosphere will surely be something that's going to make the game more realistic.
One more thing, is there going to be a variable crowd number? Maybe in a match between two minnows, there may be a small crowd, or like test matches between two not-so-good nations.

All of this will surely drain a lot of system power and considerably grow the game's size but I believe it is worth it. Anyone who wants to play this would surely like a realistic game.

I wanna mention that:
1.In career mode there should be the option of the world ranking of the player(user) comparing to others' rankings. It would be better to have an option of being the rising youth player,no.1 odi batsman etc.
2.The udrs ofcourse.
3.Sidescreen with live telecasts
4.Challenges of winning some epic matches of the history that we had on the 1999 blc.
5.somehow increase confusion about where the ball would drop after the bowler bowled or show the ball marker just micro seconds before(will differ according to bowling speed) so that we will not have much time to think about the shot selection......just like real game.
6. Carrer mode can have an Option of being a board president of a nation or a domestic club president, like fifa and pes.
7.Free hit and super over rule for internationals.
8.batting powerplays.
9.all elite panel(for internationals) umpires and a few randoms for domestics.
10. Realistic crowds, of different color, nature and craze crowd for a asian, african, european, australian countries.
11. Include BPL, SLPL Windies league,New zealand league & pakistan league along with Aussie, english and indian league to ensure the realistic selection of teams for champions league.
12. Limit of saving a game in a match(like in an 50 over match one can save the game progress for only 5 times). The reason for this is very evident.
13. Presentation ceremony(a must needed feature)
14. Pitch report by specialist, weather forecast and on field toss.
15. Players' tiredness, injury(ingame, very rare) and dutiful approach by batsmen in time of batting disaster.

What I really want is a fully patchable game. It would really help everyone and it would certainly raise their sales.

5. Except that when we play cricket in real life, it is a little bit easier to judge even if there is late swing. In the game it would be practically impossible to judge where the ball is going to pitch and which shot to play. However, they could implement the feature of late swing, and we should not be able to see the swing direction.

11. Licensing issues, I believe. We can still patch the game for all that though.

A vital question

I would differ you. But firstly I ask one vital question, will our thoughts be sent to The Big Ant Studios? If not, then I see no importance of talking about this subject anymore.

Then can I expect a reply on how many of 15 of my points are going to be seen in your game, Mr. Ross? Either any of those are not parts of your plan, or you don't know which of the 15 features the game will have, atleast give a reply please.

The problem is that I can't give it all away, for a variety of reasons, not least being that there are core mechanics that we know will be in the game but others might not work or be fun and may be dropped. I would hate to mislead people by saying a feature is in or how a feature works only to disappoint them later if it was changed.

There is also marketing to consider, and I know we all dislike this, but there is a timing of the release of information so as to maximise the sales of the product. I must leave some things to closer to release before announcement.

The biggest point I want to get accross is that if I don't answer the questions raised it won't be because I am being rude, it means I am not at liberty to do so. As said above, I read here at least a few times a day and answer as best I can within the commercial constraints that we operate under.

It's all cool ross

Most of us don't mind to much, sure it can be a little annoying not
getting a answer back but we understand guys.

Maybe tell us which part of the game you can talk about will help.
So not as many questions on licensing or tour modes, when the game is out.

My question is what is the hardest part of the game for you guys to get near
right, maybe something you guys need a little help with if we can.
As all of us know cricket changers all the time unlike say AFL or rugby.
Thanks anyway it's been a fun ride with you so far :D

Sorry to be roughly serious. You don't have to say anything before release date countdown. I Just want to say that as it is a wishlist thread, I just narrated my wishes here. You won't have to say anything, just consider my points as a wishlist.

Another suggestion that i would like to make is in terms of bowling which has been awful in all the previous games.

1. instead of selecting a out swing/In swing, rather at maybe "Hard" Level ask the player to set the angle of direction of the seam.

Seam facing towards 2nd slip / Gully/ Leg slip will create different swings. The ability of the player to adjust that for a particular bowler will be harder as the skills and form of the players is lower.

Also, the release of the ball is important with respect to the bowling crease. Let the player control when the bowler will release the ball,

Late release = No ball with the ball landing fuller for full ball and shorter for short ball
Early = Comparatively slower ball with the ball landing shorter for fuller balls and much shorter for short balls.

I think these 2 aspects of release and seam position could really add variety to the gameplay.

The AI should also use this variety while bowling.

Hey Ross

I've been playing IC10 recently, since the news of the two new games, to remind me what was good and bad about the game. There are a lot of bad points, but noticed one of the biggest for me was when a massive moment occured in the match most of the time you wouldn't get a replay. It might sound trivial but when your playing a long test match and get a long awaited wicket you want to bask in the glory and enjoy it for a while with a few replays. Not being able to see a replay completely ruins the atmosphere of the game.

It got me thinking maybe a replay button would be a good idea, you could press it after any delivery, not just wickets and see the action from the previous delivery, and maybe a button to slow the action down when you want, much like in FIFA replays. Also I wouldn't want to pause the game and have to go through menus to see a replay, just one quick button press to see the previous ball again would be great and another button to change the angle while viewing, this way it would not break up the flow of the game, it would look like you were watching a replay in between deliveries like on tv. I think that would add greatly to the viewing experience, and atmosphere of the games.
