The Super Cup

Tanmay Agarwal is released to join CSK's IODC camp, as trade off for keeping Krishnappa Gowtham and Rahul Chahar in the Super Cup squad.
Puneet Bisht is released to join KKR's IODC camp, with squad already having Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul it's better for Puneet Bisht to stay at KKR where he is starting to get some chances.
Eoin Morgan is released and will now play the Super Cup for Lahore Qalandar if chosen in the final squad.
Arzan Nagwaswalla is released to join MI's IODC camp, One of the net bowlers/injury reserves for MI, as trade off for keeping Matt Henry and Jimmy Neesham in the Super Cup squad, while the two are not regular pieces of the MI XI but management hopes this move will harm their newfound momentum.
Tabraiz Shamsi will be staying with SRH's IODC camp, he will be leading the spinning camp to be better prepared for the next segment. With Rashid Khan, Rahul Chahar and Krishnappa Gowtham here the management feels Tabraiz Shamsi is better utilized at the camp and this gives the chance to keep Rashid Khan here instead of DC camp, we will also have Venkatesh Iyer here - two vital cogs of DC camp, in the hopes of derailing their squad a bit.
Sandeep Sharma will be in the squad for Super Cup with Chama Milind, Matt Henry, Rashid Khan, Krishnappa Gowtham and Rahul Chahar, Sandeep Sharma being here might affect RR's IODC camp as three of their pacer's will be busy with Super Cup.
Tilak Varma, KL Rahul, Babar Azam, Rassie van der Dussen, Rishabh Pant, Mitchell Marsh, Hanuma Vihari, Venkatesh Iyer and Jimmy Neesham will be taking the remaining places in the squad. Most of them are contracted to SRH for the IODC barring Tilak Varma, Rassie van der Dussen and KL Rahul being contracted to LSG, a big loss for their IODC camp while Venkatesh Iyer and Jimmy Neesham are contracted to DC and MI respectfully.

Shaheen Afridi to lead us as Ravindra Jadeja had decided to give up captaincy earlier during the start of IODC 2022 and we respect his decision. He wants to play freely. And Shaheen is a great leader of men.

It's great to see this squad come together once again and hopefully they perform to their potential here and show how good they really are! Great to have Warner, Surya and Sundar in Rajasthan colors once again. How they miss us and we miss them in IODC!

2 wins and we will lift the super cup. One at a time..

Approaching the first century in Super Cup history, Martin Guptill has not only formed the backbone of a fragile innings, but he has also given Rajasthan's score respectability, which seems rather unlikely without his stoic knock.

Rajasthan Royals finish with a respectable 257 in spite of a disciplined bowling performance from Lahore Qalandars, courtesy of Martin Guptill's painstakingly determined 132 not out. Not only did he form the backbone of Rajasthan's innings, single-handedly contributing to more than 50% of his team's runs, but he also carried his bat and joined a unique list of individuals with this record. Suryakumar Yadav seemed to be in great touch before his innings was abruptly brought to a screeching halt by Shahnawaz Dahani. Washington Sundar's lower-order provided crucial runs for Rajasthan, but more importantly, gave Martin Guptill the license to play a lot more freely than he was with the middle-order. But apart from the aforementioned, no other Rajasthan batter intimidated Lahore's bowlers.

Lahore jolted Rajasthan upfront with Mitchell Starc delivering a lethal new ball spell to dismiss David Warner and Narayan Jagadeesan for peanuts, reducing them to 15/2. Ambati Rayudu adopted an overly cautious approach to stop the fall of wickets, which proved to be quite fruitful for the team even if it resulted in Ambati Rayudu mustering up a grand total of 19 runs in 40 deliveries. It did stabilize Rajasthan's innings after their new ball quandary. Mitchell Starc, Shahnawaz Dahani, Usman Qadir and Haris Rauf, all picked-up two wickets apiece with remarkable economies, whereas Faheem Ashraf and Ben Stokes claimed one each.
