These guys are the last proper batsmen that we have ! Pant won't do much since his foot is broken (please surprise us all Pant) and Jaddu won't do much I think.
It's difficult now, but they still have to save India from an innings defeat.

That shouldn’t be a lost review. 3rd umpire finding no conclusive proof either way is just a fancy umpires call

Pujara ain't doing anything on this tour or the ones before. Glad he got removed from the side even if it was late.
Can you name one batsman in the current Indian team who you think can bat time?

It's not about Pujara. It's about having one batsman who can wear the bowlers out so that others can make merry, one guy who the team can bank to hang in there when the going gets tough. If not Pujara, then Vihari, if not Vihari then someone else. You need someone who can carry the team either by scoring daddy hundreds or batting the tricky phases out for the batsmen to follow.

Test cricket is far more a game of grit and skill than any other format of the game. When England opted for Bazball and overhauled their batting lineup, there was a reason why they kept Root and they have been reaping rewards of it as Root has been heads and shoulders above his contemporaries since Covid.

I prefer Gill going down attacking shots rather than timid, he needs to show England fast medium bowlers he the man

I always thought that Easwaran could be that batsman , but they never took him

I think we should give Easwaran a chance in the next match. The guy deserves it.

wow same time same thoughts for us :cheers

Alright so cricket did give Karun Nair a chance (more like he forced them to give a chance with phenomenal performances) but he failed to make a mark when it mattered the most. His age doesn't help his cause and it's unlikely he might get a look into the Test team again.

Sai on the other hand looks promising but unpolished which is okay as he is young and has the opportunity to learn a lot over the years.

I wonder if there is any player in the ranks who is experienced at the international level and can be given a nod in the team?
