We have sent hockey team, we have approved to sent blind cricket team, why not cricket team for ICC event. It's pure politics and we know there are political bitc*** from both the nations, spoiling everything.

I am not very good at understanding the political scenarios just not my thing.

Here is what I think:

The BCCI is clearly abusing the power they have especially with BJP government at the helm.

I hope somewhere down the line this is stopped like forming a union or something which will be against BCCI.

There has to be a somekind of a loophole which should be exploited by PCB or other cricket boards to maintain some parity levels.

At the moment with all the money involved its just a one way traffic and stubbornness.

Maybe involving the Arabs in cricket involving which may tilt the balance in terms of money and power but the Arabs are filth too ... Somehow taking the unparalleled power from BCCI is must.

Cricket is a different ball game in both India and Pakistan. BJP's anti-Pakistan stance will be weakened if they send Indian cricket team to Pakistan. They do not want that to happen.
Plus India have not gone there since 2008, I suppose. So, the ICC/ BCCI chairman is son of India's home minister does not matter.

ICC needs that fixture more than BCCI.

Yes, but the PCB doesn’t make cricket the victim of politics, while the BCCI does. Not that hard to understand.

PCB needs the Indian team to visit- it is very simple. Otherwise,they wouldn't threaten by stating that the CT can be taken away. In your words- not that hard to understand.

Well, since you’ve opened the door to political insinuations, let me set the record straight.

When the World Cup is in India : Pakistan are invited to the Modi Stadium to play India, and welcomed with fanfare. Arijit Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Shankar Mahadevan have a live performance. Amitabh and Rajinikanth are invited.

When the Champions Trophy is in Pakistan : 26/11, Kashmir, martyrs are suddenly remembered and become a big deal.

Proxy wars, until 2020, were conducted on both sides (the Indian PM mentioning Balochistan in his speeches wasn’t just for fun), don’t live in a fool’s paradise where India is innocent. The only difference is that the Pakistani military, as awful as it is, still didn’t make cricket into a victim of geopolitics (just like the Indian government doesn’t make other sports into victims, but focuses on cricket and artists).
And if it was such a big dealbreaker, the Indian PM wouldn’t have agreed to visit Pakistan in 2021 at the Pakistani military’s invitation, before the Pakistani PM scuttled the plan. So spare us the thinly veiled self-righteousness.

I think it’s time for the rest of the boards to also say enough is enough. That if the tournament gets moved to the UAE yet again, then they they either boycott it or play their own tournament in Pakistan. First of all, Cricket in the UAE is dull as dishwater and a pain in the ass for fans cause there’s barely any home support to speak of. Second of all just the blatant hypocrisy of it all as well as it obviously being a political decision when it clearly says in the ICC rules that politics has no place in the sport. There’s so much division in this world, why can’t cricket as a sport put a little of it back together again. If that fails if you boycott it, you might get this tinpot trophy removed cause it’s plain old stupid and is literally just a crashgrab with little to no purpose or significance.

There is a big difference- your team agreed to come and the match actually took place. As for the fanfare- I am sorry they didnt cater to Rahat Fateh and others- didnt know it would bother you so much. The Indian govt/BCCI is well within its right to invite whichever celebrity it wants. Please don't be that dumb.

Furthermore, I believe you are messing up other factors with cricket- which isnt the right approach, atleast in my eyes. Visits of the Foreign Min/ Indian PM have really got nothing to do with cricket. If at all, it just simply highlights how desperate Pakistan is, to get the Indian team over. For once, have the PCB put its foot down, get ahead with the cricket (with or without India) instead of blaming India.

If you look at it from Pakistan's POV they want India to come cause of the financial positivity that the team will bring. Without India, both PCB and ICC know it will be just another tournament. While, I would love to see PCB push its stance and perhaps take the competition forward without India, but that will impact the ICC's sponsorship big time.
