100 100's - Finally it has come. Take a bow Master!

Yes but there isn't one person who has watched both play that would suggest Bradman was a lesser batsman.

What records does Tendulkar hold off the field? please tell me because it seems to me that his records are done on the cricket field.

Again Bradman was a cricket administrator and selector so they are two off field roles.

And Bradman did only play in two countries but yet his name is known in every cricketing nation and some non cricketing nations, he is regarded statistically as the greatest sportsman of all time let alone in his playing career. Is Sachin rated over guys like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer? Maybe in India but I doubt he is rated that highly elsewhere Bradman had such an impact that his name transcended sport itself.

In a hypothetical 102 years time when there are 25 test nations and many more minnows will Sachin still be known by countries that never witnessed him?

Dont' infract me for this post but i had to post think because it is ridiculous to think that tendulkar dos nothing off the field. Whatever administrator or selector work bradman did was only possible when he retired so dont bring that stuff in there as sachin is still playing. Besides sachin keeps his contributions silent, last year a news channel reported that Sachin has been funding for 200 orphans for last 5 years. He never advertised this to anyone to get publicity like other would have, just keep on doing silently. I wonder how many NGO's he is funding without letting anyone know :hpraise:hpraise

Another example of his humbleness is that once great singer " Lata Mangeshkar" asked tendulkar jokingly "Would he play a charity match to provide funds for school" and sachin took it seriously. The match was arranged in a 2 weeks time just after 2003 World Cup. Whole Indian team took part and Sri Lankan team was literally "Air Lifted" and brought to ground in a chopper. The match was aired live and most of the indians have seen it.
I remember Dinesh Mongia scoring a big hundred in that match.

I never wanna compare past with present coz it is ridiculous but if you do compare then make sure you do not disrespect a player just coz you love other player. Bradman himself considered Sachin best player in his book. So last gen belong to Bradman, this gen to tendulkar. Case Closed

On topic.: It appears he would move one step closer to 100 100 today :P

it's practically a formality now really. I really would think he'll get another 8 hundreds over all formats with 2 years to get them (of ODIs he might keep going another year or two in tests after the world cup)

barring an injury of course.

Angrypixel every single reason right there is why i say that Tendulkar is going to make a huge impact after he retires in the game. On topic: I think Tendulkar wants the 100 100's and he won't retire until he gets it, the world cup is coming up I think that is the perfect time for him to get closer to that great mark.

4 test, 3 ODI, and 1 T20 ;)

MacLovin added 3 Minutes and 31 Seconds later...

wait i just realized he made 100 on last test too

this is just crazy!!!! thats 4 in a row.

4 in a row for Sachin. Has the chance for another record in the next test match, where he will have to ton up to equal Bradman (?) for 5 test centuries in a row. Gambhir missed this a while ago.

At least it's insentive for him to keep on playing. If I were as Indian supporter I'd want him to get out in the 90's for 2 more years, then start getting tons.

I would like Sachin to score a 99 in every innings he plays from now till the 2015 WC, where he can end in glorious fashion with 8 consecutive ODI hundreds and a WC win.
