Talk about Younis but I think Tendulkar can play ODI for another 2 years
A stupid and meaningless stat tbh. How in the world do you combine the two formats? For people that are saying he will retire if he gets it, he probably won't. He'll then target his 50th ODI ton and 100th ODI half-century. He is about a year late in announcing his retirement from ODIs imo. Should have done it with the WC in his hands.
I think Kohli will be the first Indian to score the century of centuries, but by then, Clarke and Warner will have already achieved it.
Bradman didnt play cricket when it was this popular.
Sachin Tendulkar has now gone for more than one year in ODIs (12 ODIs) without a century. His last century came against South Africa in the World Cup game in Nagpur. In his last eight innings in ODIs, he has scored just 149 runs at 18.62. Overall (Tests and ODIs combined), his longest century-less streak was in 2007 (34 innings). Since last year, he has now gone 33 innings without a century.
I hope he never ever gets to 100. Very average batsman.
give him some credit, he's better than average.
Massively overrated but better than average.
Less popular in India maybe, but cricket was way more popular in Australia when Bradman played than it is now. State cricket grounds used to be PACKED back in the 20s/30s/40s, now you can count the spectators at a Shield match yourself very easily. Christian Ryan counted less than 100 people at the MCG for Vic vs NSW a couple of weeks ago. It's in this article: Christian Ryan: Eugenides and Adorno at the cricket | Opinion | Cricinfo Magazine | ESPN Cricinfo
And...back to SRT. Read that this is ALMOST the longest century drought he's had, 2007 was the longest. Was in this article: India v Sri Lanka, Asia Cup, Mirpur: A Kohli-Gambhir show again | Cricket Features | Asia Cup | ESPN Cricinfo
I think Kohli will be the first Indian to score the century of centuries, but by then, Clarke and Warner will have already achieved it.
1. Bradman played at a time when players were not professionals. So the standard of competition is very very questionable.
2. Bradman played a massive 5 test matches against India, SA and West indies. India were crap, SA had too many race politics and West Indies( I have no idea). Most of Bradmans centuries were in first class cricket and the standard is questionable.
3. The best fast bowlers of the world were not yet playing cricket.
4. Fielding was not given importance (probably teams started diving often since early 1990's)
As many Indians I feel he is overrated but like him since Sachin is compared to him Before someone jumps in ...sachin is overrated at times

Warner will fail like Shewag
Kohli will fail outside the continent
Clarke ...well has the least chance
False
I may not know much about cricket but I know that the likes of Harold Larwood are some of the best fast bowlers to ever grace this planet.
Miles above anything that has come out of India even in the modern era
For what I have heard about him he is a proper middle order batsman and bowls at 140ks on regular basis.

Also he was listed in the reserves for Asia Cup squad.
Yeah hopefully. I have high hopes from Whatmore. first of all, he needs to differ test team from that of LOIs. A different captain for T20s and some specialists T20 players needs to be given proper run.If he can bat, it will be perfect thing for the team right now. Hammad Azam seems promising but we can use an allrounder who bowls over 140 KPHS. I hope he gets his chance soon.
