1st semi final: England vs Australia

OH NOES! can't believe I considered you too be at Elliots level.

Elliott wouldn't get out to stuff like that.

Good way to strike back though, England are in real trouble here.

I think wickets seem to be the only way Australia will contain them here.

All wickets have been legside balls, that should of either been put away or left alone.

This pitch is a belter so we have got to be happy with those 3 wickets. If we can get Morgan the English could be in trouble.

One of these two will have too make a century, to get round the 280 mark.

Steve Davies would have to come in before Luke Wright wouldn't he? You wouldn't want Luke Wright in before the 20th over.

That's how they are listed. Johnson is bowling much better now, hopefully he doesn't lose concentration and gift a boundary. Watson also looking good apart from that first ball in that last over.

It's been an odd 15 overs so far. Took 2 over wickets, but instead of consolidating, Collingwood and Denly counter-attacked, and it paid off. Collingwood will be dissapointed that he didn't go on with his start. He looked brilliant. That's the 3rd time that Collingwood has made a start but not gone on with it this tournament.

I'm very impressed with Paine as well. Not making too many errors and has taken two very sharp catches.

Davies is listed at 6 on the TV coverage, so lets hope he does. I seriously think Swann is a better batsman than Wright.

Chapple was dissing his keeping last match although more about praising Haddin.

Watson straying a bit too much onto the pads, think hes getting his line mixed up between the left and right handers.

It's the bounce. The pace of the surface encourages strokeplay, but if the bowlers can just get a little bit extra on the ball, maybe hit the seam or bowl with a bit of extra effort, it suddenly threatens the batsman. The bouncer by Johnson was particularly worthy, because it really was the right thing to do, he backed himself to beat the batsman with his strong suit, even though the runs were piling up. England have really hurt themselves with the third wicket and now they are under pressure to conserve wickets for a long time.

Great move Ponting bringing back Siddle and he rewards him with the wicket of Denly. If Siddle can keep to his line and length he should be a handful on this deck just like Watson who has been threatening.
