How English would it be to wait till a lead of 700! Strauss seems like a very defensive captain, I would not be surprised if he waits for a lead of at least 600-650 to ensure Aus have no chance of stealing a miracle win.

we need at least 5 sessions to bowl out Oz, i highly doubt an overnight declaration even if we get a lead of 500 tonight

Warnie reckons we should try to get a quick 50-70 more runs and have a go at Aus for 5 overs tonight. I think that would be a mistake, we need 550 runs at minimum. Let the tail throw the bat and add quick runs in the morning.
