Dan you kept defending Broad and he's pants and now you're doing the same with Bopara. Both of them have potential, but neither of them are Test quality at this moment in time. I wouldn't play Bopara for Lancs let alone England.

Bopara's not good enough to be batting 3, but he's good enough to be playing Test Cricket. He's improved immensely since his last stint in Test cricket in Sri Lanka, and has performed very well in the Championship over the last 2 years. I'm convinced he's good enough, as is Shane Warne, as he was saying how Ravi is seriously talented and should just be batting down the order.

Also, I was wrong about Broad. Meh, the Australian's were wrong about Phil Hughes. We all have errors of judgement.

Playing Broad at seven was never going to work. Clark has bowled very well this morning.

Hauritz has been more than serviceable this series. He took 10 wickets.

The selectors just didn't have the guts to squeeze him in front of Siddle.

They all said how great a series he was going to have, he didn't. Also we were told how Siddle was going to be the next McGrath and rip through England, that's not happened either. The majority of young guys haven't stepped up to the plate. We thought they would, but they haven't. I'm sure Bopara, Hughes, Broad and Siddle are all good enough to have long Test careers though.
