It's got nothing to do with the top order. If England were smart they would of picked the extra batsmen (Trott) and batted Prior at seven. This line-up just looks so weak. No one except for the selectors can defend batting Broad at seven.

I don't think he would have made any difference.

Nicely setup by Siddle and Ponting. The usual 1-2 trick to the tailender. Still not happy with Siddle straying onto the pads so often.

Well it would of given them a extra batsmen, so yes it would of made a difference in this situation.

Yeah I've seen him play some good innings too. Last year against South Africa iirc, he was left stranded on 49 I think.

Prior's fairly raced to 34, didn't think he was near that many yet. He seems to get his runs seriously quickly. Should be a much better ODi player, should just play naturally.

Probably cause they block off his main scoring area in ODIs. His first 4 boundaries were at 3rd man.

Clark starting to lose his line, much be time to give him a break.
