Bishen Singh Bedi

The best left arm spinner to ever grace the game. The perfection in his action, his stealth, flight and loop any spinner's dream. A consistent wicket taker throughout his career, and ended his career with over 1,500 FC wickets - the highest by any Indian bowler.

I couldn't believe he wasn't picked.

I was going to pick Bedi but I already had a world class spinner and also I needed some to make runs so I picked Younus Khan.

I pick Mushtaq Mohammad.

Wisden Cricketer of the Year 1963, Mushtaq Mohammad was the finest Pakistani all-rounder of his time. The guy was one of the first reverse sweepers to have graced the game, and also the youngest century-maker in Tests of the contemporary period. Mushtaq registered some superb performances with the ball too. Was a pretty decent spinner with a wide range of deliveries. A perfect choice for someone looking to stabilize his lower order.

I take solace in the fact that your bowling is going to suck. :D

My plan is actually working out perfectly so far. So many players are going under people's radar its working out great for me. Bedi was a great pick but there's a reason I didn't pick him earlier, that I will explain later. Though now that you've drawn attention to the spin quartet, I might as well pick one.

I pick BS Chandrashekhar. The spin quartet was so good that its hard to separate them, but I've picked arguably the one with the most potential. He had Warne like tendencies as he could bowl unplayable deliveries and was much more proficient a wicket taking when compared to his counterparts, as his SR shows. His spell in England that won India the series was voted the greatest of the century by Wisden writers.

Prasanna was a genius. There's no two ways of putting it. He was a master of flight and could perform even on the flattest of pitches. He was an aggressive bowler, but was also patient in his plans to outfox batsmen. His performances have been honored with the very prestigious Padma Shri award (1970). He also received Castrol Lifetime Achievement award (2006).

Gautam Gambhir

3.
Vijay Hazare
Mahela Jayawardene
6.
