Hogg and Clarke Strike Again!

Brad Hogg and Michael Clarke spin pairing is a great section of the Australian attack. THey have got teh first three wickets between them. Hogg took Strauss and Vaughn and Clarke got Collingwood. They have a very slow runrate to england

Aussie Spinners Work Well

Clarke, Hogg and Symonds have led Australia to an easy target. Lee also took a wicket at the end. Clarke 4-19 (4) Hogg 3-39 (4) Symonds 2-0 (1) Lee 1-7 (3.2) Have done well. It was a spinners wicket but Brett Lee got alot of bounce and pace. But the target of 93 will be easy for Australia. We will have to wait and see what happens

Well we had a great game today winning the game. We remain top of the ladder of the ICC Elite 8 which is very exciting. Next week is the halfway of the ICC Elite 8 and its the only team we havent versed New Zealand and we are looking forward to it.

Adam Gilchrist and Tony Grieg said:
TG: Well Adam another great win
AG: Yes it was a great game we fought hard and keep our lead in the ICC ELITE 8
TG: Next week versing New Zealand are there going to be any changes of play etc?
AG: No we think that if we play the way we've played the whole Competition we should be right.
TG: Great bowling by the spinners do you think that John Buchannan's going to make sure Clarke and Hogg both have 4 Overs each for the rest of the series?
AG: Well there's no doubt he's in great bowling form also getting runs with the bat but im sure that they will because they are landing the ball in right spots etc.
TG: Thanks for your time Adam
AG: no problem

Doesn't get better

Ricky Ponting says that it doesnt get better having a Trans Tasman ICC Elite 8 Match at the SCG. He says that a trans tasman clash is a great way go to the halfway mark of the competition. Ponting says there will not be a change in the squad as it is carrying them to great victories. Ponting says its going to be a tight clash but we will try get the highest 20/20 score of 300 :D

Gabba Ground Staff and Cricket Australia Pleased
Gabba%20Aerial%20Completed.jpg

The Gabba Ground Staff Are pleased with the way Brisbane Cricket Fans have acted during this competition. Australia have played 3 matches there so far and Crowds have been excellent so the Finals game is staying at the Gabba. Other crowds have been great to at the SCG, MCG and Adelade oval for australian Matches. There has only been a couple of streakers at the MCG and that is it :p . The Aussies are still to play at Belrieve Oval and the WACA. Cricket Australia will give a rating of crowd behaviours at the end of the competition.

Australia have won the toss and elected to bat first. The pitch is pretty much a batting wicket. Its a hard and flat SCG Wicket.
