Victoria make solid start on difficult pitch
Victoria 63-0 (15.0 overs)
Victoria managed to put on 63 in the openign 15 overs on a very difficult pitch where the ball was moving around in the air and of the pitch. Anderson had the closest shout for LBW wehen he got the ball to nip back but that seemed it for him as he ended up going for 44 for his 8 overs. Meanwhiel at the other end Tremlett had been a handful cuasign various issues with his height on this wicket, however he too has failed to get the breakthrough but has stopped the flow of runs.
D.Gower- Engand will hoep to perform well and carry this and the other victori into the vital next test match at melbourne.

England fight back with 4 wickets
Victoria 142-4 (30.0 overs)
England fought backwith 4 big wickets including Elliot who had amassed fifty. Wickest came from Lewis, Flintoff and Dalrymple who is proving to be a golden arm with his first balls of his spell in the last two games picking up a wicket. Furthermore he went one step further picking up a second with the next. Victoria have struggeled though they have still piled on the runs. England have used the spinner to greta effect and will look for more wickets in the remaining overs for sure.
D.Gower- Victoria have a healthy run rate but those wickets will hirst their cause and may have let England in.

Flintoff display ends Victoria flurish
Victoria 222 allotu 48.2 overs)
Terrific bowling from Flintoff brought Victorias innings to a close at 222 allout. Dave hussey top scored with 70 before he was undone by a Freddie yorker. Dalrymple also got another wicket getting the dangerous white caught of a soft Bat/pad catch. Flintoff at one stage was on a hat trick after removing hussey adn warne one after another, however he was denied a hat trick depsite bowling the perfect yorker. Nevertheless he managed to make it three in the over the very ball later leaving the Victorians at 217 for 9. Tremlett needed just two balls to finish up taking the wicket LBW.
D.Gower- Victoria batted very well on this pitch and looked set for 250, however the bowling from Flintoff at the end was perfect and practically unplayable.
