England made a good start to the one day game by hitting 95 in the field restricted 15 overs. Vaughan has hit and unbeaten 42 whilst Bell who joined him after Strauss mistimed a cover drive departed for 9, has hit 36. For Western Australia there has been little to celebrate with runs flwoing all areas.

Vaughan hit his first 50 since injury in a brillaint innings of 53 from 62 balls. However his innings was ended when he tried one shot to many and ended up skiing a shot stright ot Wates at Deepish Mid wicket. Following his dismissal Pietersen came to the crease and has welcomed them with a series of well timed boundaries resulting in 22 at this point. Meanwhiel Bell has been solid as usual hitting 67 from 86 balls. So far Hogg has been the pick of the bowlers having just 20 runs scored of 8 overs compared to the 5-6 runs per over witnessed by Magoffin and Williams.

England managed to lose 7 wickest for just 126 runs after Goodwin pciked up 3 wickest from his 8 overs. Bell played very well and look on target for a one day century however he fell 6 runs short after sking oen straight to Williams. Pietersen fell too after beign caught brillaintly LBW by hogg whowas definetly the pick of the bowlers. Furthermore Joyce coudl only manage 36 before he too was given out and Nixon on his debut for Egland onyl made 6 after being follishly ran out after nto grounding his bat. Darymple and Collingwood failed to impress and left the tail enders to scamper all the runs they could.

D.Gower- England struggled to capitalise from the position they once were in creating a difficult last 10 overs resulting in the loss of so many wickets. Western Australia will fancy they're chances on this wicket and will have plenty of hope.

Western Australia require 291 at 5.82 R.P.O

Western Australai have made the perfect start to their chase after scoring 106 in the opening 15 overs. Gilchrist has top scored with 50 not out and Langer has also contributed with 48 not out. For England the bowling was intial tight however wayward bowling from anderson with his 5 overs going for 45 enabled the Australians to piel on the runs.

England have fought back well taking 2 wickets for a mere 46 runs in a terrific 15 over spell. Langer was the first to depart after Dalrymple picked up the first wicket with his very first ball. Following this Martyn was bogged down along with Gilchrist thanks to some equally tight bowling from Pietersen at the other end. This eventually brought about the wicket of Martyn who was caught LBW trying to play a forward defense. England now find themsleves in a terrific position with them leaving the Western Australians needing nearly 7 an over from here on.

England completed their victory by 10 rusn after Gilchrist fell for 99 of Collingwoods bowling and the fall of Hussey, North and Wates all failed to contriubute. Mahmood finsihed with 2 for 69 and Anderson 2 for 75 from 8 overs showing how he was targeted during the attack. Dalrymple and Pietersen finsihed with very respectable figures and was the difference between teams in the end. Things looked bad for the Western Australians when Gilchrist went for 99 after trying to hit Collingwood otu of the ground over Deep Square leg. Then came the collapse though Goodwin held in for a good 63 but fell just wehn he was needed after taking on the hook of Mahmood.
