Ashes 2015 - Australia tour of England July/September 2015

all out in less one session has probably never happened before

According to TMS England last did it in 1896, although South Africa did it a few times recently (2008 against India and 2013 against New Zealand)

Trust me Geoffrey Boycott is a guy who sways with the wind. If a guy is having issues, Boycott, will have all sorts of things to point about his technique, however when the same guy scores runs all will be right with the world. I am sure during Smith's 200 Boycott had few things to say about his square on technique.

25 yrs as a top class opening, international batsman, combined with another 25yrs as a cricket commentator, pundit, expert-analyst, summeriser and jounalist, trust me, he knows a bit more about cricket and in particular batting technique etc than you & me !

It was questioned quite a bit before the series would Smith struggle on typical English pitches, particularly at 3 now against the new ball. He hasn't exactly done loads to say he hasn't so far when the balls been swinging.

Oh I dont doubt he knows more than me, but that doesn't mean he is equally good at expressing all of that knowledge properly. Seriously how many times in that knock of 200 did Boycott tell you Smith was not standing right.

Its one thing to admire cricketers, another entirely to lop up everything they say once they take the mike, as absolute gospel genius. Most of the commentators are full of crok-sh!t more often than not.

"Oh its a great shot, high and handsome ... and out"

If that had been a no ball that really would have summed up Aus' test.

Do feel for Lyth, the poor guy can't seem to catch a break. Right now if Aus want to have any shot (not that they have much), but to have any chance they need Bell early. Let Bell bat 40 balls and Eng would be soon in the lead and build it up rapidly.

What a delivery from Strac. There is no doubt that Starc is going to be the next great bowler. Bell goes early just what Aus would have wanted. Now the 2 best Eng batsmen at the crease.

On a side note cricinfo is doing a poll on the best fast bowler going around today. Lots of options and Ishant Sharma, has 2% of the votes. I can't facepalm, hard enough. 2% !! 2% who the hell are these morons.

Whether its England, Australia or India etc. If they're up to the job or underperforming, Mr Boycott says it as it is and that's what he's paid for as a pundit specialist, good enough for me as I admire a person who say's what they see as per instructions 'on the tin' !

Oh man you and Boycott ... get a room you both.

Ball from Lyon to Bairstow, the one before his sweep for 4 - Bairstow edged that I'm sure. No appeal.
