As soon as I opened up FM I got a press conference that said:

"With the match against Legańes being a dead rubber..."

Man I was about to start quoting Einstein...

Well it was my first FM and I enjoyed, biggest issue is how it limits the wage you can offer and gives you a wage and transfer budget but ignores it completely but other then that I think its a top notch game!

Football Manager keeps on getting ever more complicated and while I finished dozens of seasons on versions when I was a kid now I get bored very early because it takes an age to get out of the pre-season. Its probably because I know I can't match my greatest achievement (making mighty Vauxhall Motors win a League-Cup-Champions League treble!) that I don't even try anymore...

I have hundreds of hours on FM15 but that's because I fiddle about with the editor trying to make Scottish football actually interesting and I need to sim a few decades to make sure the thing works.

It doesn't ignore the budgets ... I am tired of asking the board to increase the budget, they just don't budge.

Think England missed a trick in this test match the series won and a great chance to hand one or two new players a try.

Lyth and Bell are a concern.

Ali isn’t a main spinner and lacks control plus a variation of deliveries and the ability to change speed.

England need a full time spinner plus a number 3 add a new opener to the list.

Well this hasn't gone to plan. This was supposed to be a party atmosphere, rolling over the Aussies one last time in a triumphant wonderful party. But it's been the equivalent of us turning up to our own party, vomiting on ourself, hitting on your girlfriends mother and falling asleep in the punch bowl.

Err, I think you will find, Mr. Einstein, that a match being a 'dead rubber' doesn't depend on how much you 'care for it'. A match is a dead rubber if the outcome of that match doesn't affect the outcome of the series in any way. With England having already won the series, by definition this is a dead rubber, regardless of how much you care.

So regardless of whether the extent of your love and care for this match is at the level where you want to hold hands, or that you basically can't wait to jump into bed with it, this is a dead rubber.

But don't worry, don't let that affect your love and care for this match. Why don't you write a poem about it or something.

Nope, thats probably a different one. The one I am talking about, crap teams do come up but the dominance is shared between two or three teams.
