Ashes Cricket General Discussion

And different batsman having different shot types to the same ball? Imagine if you tried to keep hitting the top of off stump against Steve Smith? He'd slap you through mid wicket all day. You would end up bowling wider and wider until you get slapped through the covers.

It could also work for batsmans weaknesses as well. Imagine trying to constitently bowl full and outside off to cook to try and get the nick. It would be a test of patience, and eventually you may get bored and bowl short and get slapped through gully.

I'm getting way ahead of myself, but then if they had different bowling and batting strengths and weaknesses (i.e. front foot classic play but is shocking at the pull shot) in the academy that would allow for really in-depth customisations...

this is my dream. real variation in opponents whether that's batsmen, bowlers or captains in terms of their approach, shots, strengths and tactics. i know we're probably a long way from that but i'd absolutely love it.

something that makes you think tactically.

Mo-cap is not merely cosmetic

Can I request you to please elaborate on this? ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1506007872][/DOUBLEPOST]
Ok just now Sanjay Manjrekar and Sunil Gavaskar are talking about that Maxwell mo cap video on how well he imitated Smith's leave in the India vs Australia match...If this is not the best promotion I don't know what is.. @BigAntStudios

Yeh heard that!!!! That was unbelievable!!! More people in the right circles know about it, more willing the other boards would be to give out their license.

Exciting news (to have it confirmed anyway).

Edit: Just been watching the videos, now very excited about this! I'm also fully in favour of Glenn Maxwell's idea of plugging a cricket bat into my PC and playing this. I have enough room. Please add this or the game will be ruined.

I wonder if they knew what that video was for, or perhaps they simply happened to stumble on it in their feed.

The video was on the front page of a leading Indian news website with the heading stating something like 'watch how maxwell fails to execute Jadeja's sword celebration'

So no mention about release of a new game?

Every article has mentioned that it was mo cap for a new Ashes cricket game..Even minimal information like that does wonders because people then would start searching and exploring about the game..

There is a mention of the game in their article but headline is more about Maxwell' imitation.

Well, it would have been a massive advertisement (given that the commentary is heard/viewed by many) had they mentioned something about the "game" too.
