Ashes Cricket General Discussion

“The bottom line is as far as i can see there is no patch on the table for Sony or Xbox to approve”

Stop posting nonsense then
Yes there is no patch on the table for sony to check and approve. Yes one is being made but its not ready yet. What part of that is unclear and what part of it is nonsense

Thank you beta team for the nice feedback.

Question to the beta team.

Outfield catches are being taken without moving right stick or giving any input from the controller. Fielders no more drop catches and slow motion catches are easy to take even when set fielding difficulty to very hard. Is this being looked?

Thanks :)

User catching is much more difficult: I have had to turn down the difficulty! Outfield catching is on the “list”...you know the one: the Chopin Liszt

Hi Dutch, waiting for your feedback on shot animations especially the square cut shot going to midoff.

I told you @WealeyH , now you heard it from another

And I have repeatedly told you, stop putting yourself down!! People do like you!!

Think positive...[DOUBLEPOST=1520579196][/DOUBLEPOST]I will be without internet for 5 days from tomorrow as I’m moving house....

If It doesn’t affect the performance quality, I may bat for a few overs and record it...

I may not, depends how the computer handles it..

Apologies for asking a question, I’ll avoid it in future

If he is referring to the modified timing windows, I wouldn’t have recognised that as a new mechanism, hence the question.

And for what it’s worth, I have made contributions outside of the beta group that you wouldn’t be aware of.

Dutch and Wealey have made it clear the batting has changes significantly in terms of timing. while not strictly a new mechanism, it was obvious to anyone with clarity of thought that this was what was being referred to.[DOUBLEPOST=1520579735][/DOUBLEPOST]
There are different ways of participating Dave, below the belt.

it's touching that you're prepared to back up your fellow tester in public.

Do you not agree that clarity in expression, as opposed to the audience needing clarity of thought, would be the more desirable outcome for everyone?

I didn’t think it counted as a new mechanism so I asked a very basic question. Hardly worth the reply to be honest.

Total bullshit. Anyone that knows the staff at BA and deals with them directly understands that we take no one for granted.

AO Tennis has the advantage of "Rapid Patches" scheme introduced by both Sony and Xbox this year - Ashes does not have that advantage, it must be a longer, larger process, as it has been for all of the other games we have produced to that date.

So it's just a coincidence the game with competition gets incremental patches and the one without doesn't?

And Ashes didn't get 2 (hugely detrimental) patches in two days?

And you can't push small patches on steam like was done with dbc?

I thought "total bullshit" was an accusatory against my post, not a spoiler warning for what you were about to post...

if the meaning is clear, it doesn't need a question to clarify it.

The ideal timing while Batting is changed, as in its now when the ball is pitching ( which is great).

This is exactly how ive been playing it anyway, still get beautiful screaming 4's with "Late Timing" on the bar ;) so now it will just say ideal yay!

I also felt you were mentioning the time DBC got patches on steam first for all to test and then compiled them on to the console..But inclusion of AO tennis changed the track diverting it to consoles..

For now they could very well patch PC and ask people to report issues in departments only they have tweaked and any other info or request could be just deleted..That way we could get a larger picture on how the progress is, as these patches can make or break for some, we also can see crashes, glitches or issues associated with it...So as we progress one department to another we get a smoother transition..Suggesting mainly because the guys playing and testing them are very limited now...I would very well love to join the testing and give feedback..
