Inspired by yours truly except they should be 6 down by now!Looks like they rolled out a patch in real life...Australia 17 for 0 after 12 overs...ball swinging and seaming, Warner and Bancroft hanging on desperately.
I guess the new 'rapid patches' concept is NOT supported by the fact that Epic Games/Fortnite gets to release a couple of patches every week on console (a game which was released last year). However, this may be an exception IMO since it has so much hype/popularity/demand surrounding it and therefore is somehow prioritised in this regard.
They've made a rod for their own back here. They have clearly diverted most of their resources to AO, but the length of time it has taken for Ashes content means that the next patch has to be an large step froward for the game. It can't be just another minor patch that fixes one small issue.rapid patches or no, ashes got 2 patches in 2 days right after release. (just a shame they absolutely butchered the game.) and there was a post in the beta, from a BA employee, to the effect that they were still deciding whether to roll out incremental patches or push out a big patch.
red herring at the absolute best.

He exists the issue, Big Ant burned a lot of their good well, and haven't bothered fostering more. I'd be far more forgiving if they still had the guts to show their faces on here, but even I now can only really describe them as a bit disappointing. I don't doubt they'll produce another good game in the future, but they need to regain their focus, and their community engagement.
Earlier in thread, there was a link to a thread where a developer was rather graciously apologizing and explaining his company's circumstances in relation to patching a game of theirs with some heavy issues.
Within this thread: http://www.hinterlandforums.com/for...n-build-status-for-xbox-ps4-patching-process/ you can find mention of "rapid patching" as an option after a game is stable following a stable initial submission and a stable day one patch. This was from August 2017.
Bloody hell stop nattering and help your missus with them boxes!I get people are passionate...
I get the love for the game and the want for a great game.
And I get that for me it’s probably a little less frustrating as I’m playing the current patch/build.
I’m a HUGE. Call of Duty Fan, boarderline nerd on it. The last two years I have hated the games and it’s such a shame. I literally don’t play it. When I used to put HOURS upon hours into it.
There are so many issues with the game that just arnt Call of Duty but Iv just shelved it and played something else. There literally is no point in me going on forums and getting myself worked up but essentially they don’t really care, they rake in the dough and churn out another game.
I have always said this, but because BA were present on these forums to start with we always expect it. But in reality they have no allegiance or any duty to be around here.
They do care, it’s hard for me to convince anyone but they do. But they have their plans and they stick to it.
If people genuinely wanted to make a statement. They wouldn’t buy the next game. That would be their choice.
Beta tester or no beta tester I could still have fun with this game in all states.
God knows how much tweaking and self rules I put my self under to enjoy previous games from other companies.
There’s plenty of little issues and this current build is making a HUGE difference. My comment yesterday in the beta chat was that it feels like a new game.
Don’t get me wrong I have had my strops and moments of frustration. But I wouldn’t spend time doing videos and updating you lot of I thought BA was mugging us all off and didn’t care.
But in a nutshell, constantly banging on about BA strategies and what they should do or haven’t done, isn’t going to change anything. Isn’t going to benefit anyone apart from making this place toxic.
Iv said it before, it’s just a game. 50 quid or so for most. If it’s going to irritate you to the point of constantly moaning in a forum everyday then I’d suggest not to purchase it. There’s plenty other game that I’m sure could tickle your fancy.
I also guarantee that you will all enjoy the changes!!!
Slow clap for @WealeyH
Great post mate. That x10000
Some people on here feel like BA owe them something. And in essence they truly do not. You don't like the game, deal with it. You don't like the company don't buy their product.
Cricket games for the last 10 and even more years have been shit at best. Moddable by the community but as a stand-alone shit I tell you. If anyone here disagrees with that, fly a kite because I do not care.
Everyone keeps saying its not as good as BL99. Yeah that was a great game, we all agree. But it's been twenty years ffs get over it. It ain't never coming back.
BA have made games worth playing. Games we all wanted to play. Are they unplayable, hell no. So seriously, get off your high horse and play the tweaking game or start knitting or drawing or whatever tickles your little mind.
