Some people on here feel like BA owe them something. And in essence they truly do not. You don't like the game, deal with it. You don't like the company don't buy their product.
Cricket games for the last 10 and even more years have been shit at best. Moddable by the community but as a stand-alone shit I tell you. If anyone here disagrees with that, fly a kite because I do not care.

Everyone keeps saying its not as good as BL99. Yeah that was a great game, we all agree. But it's been twenty years ffs get over it. It ain't never coming back.

BA have made games worth playing. Games we all wanted to play. Are they unplayable, hell no. So seriously, get off your high horse and play the tweaking game or start knitting or drawing or whatever tickles your little mind.

The only Ithing ask is go find some other thread or forum to go and bitch and moan on like 12 year girls with twisted panties somewhere else. So those that can and do, and there are many, add value to a video game about the sport we love.

It's disappointing you've set up this straw man argument of entitled people claiming the game is unplayable when that is very far from the thrust of the majority of even the negative posts here.

The main criticisms are:
the game has issues that have been prevalent over several iterations or introduced in later iterations. I don't think that can be disputed
The support this far has been poor, and far short of the expectations BA put out there around their self publishing. Again I don't see how that be disputed.
That the community engagement has been poor. It can be disputed whether we should expect better but it can't be disputed the level has been low and reducing.

As encouraging as the recent beta posts are, we are all aware that there was great build last summer/autumn that never saw the light of day, so concern is understandable.

Pretending the general atmosphere is down to entitled individuals rather than a natural consequence of BA's strategy and performance is unrealistic[DOUBLEPOST=1520594353][/DOUBLEPOST]

It is playable and largely enjoyable. But you for one are making this personal. Openly attacking @Dutch? For what? Play the game or don't. But if you do not agree with the way the company works so be it. You had your say. You wrote your open letter. You have put your point across. Now let's all be mature and move on.

I haven't attacked Dutch whatsoever, and nothing is further from my intention.

I also think @WealeyH op was a great post and is very close to my view. There's nothing to get worked up about and everyone has the choice to decide whether they will purchase in future or not.

I just think it is sad That the developer has taken this track with a community that has been very supportive. There is still a lot of goodwill here, but a huge amount of goodwill has been squandered too and the responsibility is theirs

Admin is happy becouse BA is still involved in the site. We can understand that cant we. Its just the common people are complaining. At the end of the day for admin, beta boys and BA; for them we the random blokes dose not matter.

And for me i am NOT buying BA next cricket title till i know its a game that i can relate to as a ex professional cricketer.

i'm not falling out with you dutch, i go by what i see/have seen.

i also decided to work within the beta, as you know, and tried to get a collaborative position going. BA stuck 2 fingers up at that, and i decided to walk away.

if their engagement has changed and that's helping, great. if it hasn't but they are still getting improvements - still great. all i want is a great cricket game, and i don't care whether i'm involved in that or not. i'm not bitter about that whatsoever.

i am however critical - as i was inside the beta - of BA's community engagement, or lack thereof. and i am critical of posts like the snowy one i called out, that contribute nothing, whoever they come from.

I wasn’t trying to contribute, I was asking a question because I didn’t know what he was talking about.

These are the posts that kill me, did your ex professional team mates never tell you to stop talking utter crap.

It’s a game, it won’t be anything like real life. Being an ex pro or an armchair viewer makes absolutely no difference.
