Australia in Bangladesh
Bangladesh vs Australia (2nd Test Match)
Day 3, 1st Session

The end of day 2 and Australia are in a commanding lead at this stage of the match. With Matty Hayden and Andrew Smyonds leading the way, Australia have bought their total to 334 with all members out of the batting order. Australia now lead by 71 runs, with Bangladesh going to start their 2nd Iinnigs of batting. With Hayden hitting 84 runs and Symonds chipping in with 83 and even the small contribution to from Michael Clarke hitting 33 Australia are now in the box seat to winning this 2nd Test Match. Bangladesh will need to have a good 2nd Innings to have any hope of beating Australia in this Test Match.

For Bangladesh, A. Hasan was good in the last half of the day. Hsaan taking the last 2 wickets of the day with both Clark and Tait being his victims. Hasan bowling 34.3 overs for the Test, had 4 Maidens and going for 87 runs. But picking the 4 wickets is what really matters for himself and the Bangladeshian team. Hossain took 3 wickets with bolwing 25 overs, and A. Salahuddin took 2 wickets himself bowling 18 wickets, 3 Maidens and going for 73 runs.

Day 3- Lunch

Well its Lunch here day 3, and Bangladesh have gotten off to a flying start. Bangladesh have made a steady start to their 2nd Innings in the match against Australia. They are 65 for 2, with the scoreline just 6 runs behind Australia overall, and will need to keep their run rate consistant if they are going to have any luck against Australia. Un-luckily they are 2 wickets for the match, but they still have a long way to go.

Bangladesh have started well in the 2nd Innings. S. Nafees has been the recipient of that total making a quick 36 runs from just only 48 balls. Hitting 4 boundaries and a huge 6 down the ground, the Bangladesh home crowd, were excited on what they were seeing. But without Nafees score, Bangladesh would be looking in trouble. With Omas making only 8 and with Bashar and Islam both being at the crease at the lunch break with Bashar on 4, and Islam on 12, things are looking steady for Bangladesh.

Australia have decided to go quick again, and with 4-5 options to that plan, they have many options on what to bowl for the certain batter. Stuart Clark and Shane Watson are the players with the wickets. Shane Watson came in for Brett Lee, who bolwed 7 overs and going for a high 30 runs, the Bangladesh players have worked out Lee over the past couple of weeks and went for 4.29 runs per over. Shane Watson replaced him and took a wicket straight away. Bowling Nafess clean and things were starting to look good for Australia again.
Matthew Hayden continued his stellar fielding game, with another catch in this Tournament, taking the catch of Omar with Stuart Clark being the bowler.

Tea Interval Day 3

Bangladesh have put themselves into a commanding lead at the Tea Break here on Day 3. Bangladesh have been batting immensily out in the middle for the past day, and they have looked to come out and win this mathc. 185 for 3 they are at the break and dont look to stop.
Bangladesh now have the lead of 114 runs with 7 wickets steal in their hands, and Australia will need to bat out their 2nd Innings, this Test Match is looking in a draw to finish, but who knows what will happen.

The Bangladeshian's started off poorly. Only Nafees was the only player that looked dangerous making 36 early before he was unexpectly dismissed by Shane Watson who clean bowled him. Javed Omar and Bashar couldnt find their form and were gone early aswell and couldnt mark their spot on the game, with Omar making only 8 and Basahr making 18. But in came Islam and Saleh. The 2 middle order players came to the crease and things started to look good for Bangladesh.
Both men were playing some wonderful shots, they look poised and balanced through the time they have had together. Islam was the more powerful and dominate player, and at the Tea Break he is 69 not out playing 116 balls and hitting 9 fours, while his partner, Saleh is 44 not out from 63 balls and hitting 7 boundaires himself, and will be looking to make the half cenruty for the 1st time for himself in this Tournament.

Australia will be dissapointed in the way they have fielded in this 2nd Innings. They have missed balls, and catches to let Bangladesh were they are now. The ground setup is all wrong from Ricky Ponting, and will be using this break to change his his side around alot to see if they can create some chances and take them.
Shane Watson has been Australia's best bowler to the current time taking 2 wickets. Bowling 8 overs, no Maidens and going for 25 which is just over 3 runs per over. Spinner Michael Clarke has been smashes around alot by the Bangladesh side, bowling 10 overs, 1 Maiden and going for 41 runs, with a 4.10 run per over limit. So Australia need to steady up the tempo and get some early wickets, or they'll be chasing another big score.

Bangladesh didnt get the right start but the current partnership is growing stronger.. Still lot and lots of work to do for Bangla team. They have to set atleast 300 to stay safe.

End of Day 3

Bangladesh have dominated the past day of play, with a commanding Innings with the bat to score themselves a 238 lead against Australia at the end of day 3. With still 2 wickets in hand to score bigger, Bangladesh have scored over 300 to let Australia they wont be a big push over this time.

The Innings was set up by 3 players, M. Islam, R. Saleh and M. Rahim (all in the middle order of the line-up, with Rahim nearing the bottom) all scoring big for Bangladesh. M. Islam was outstanding for his team. Making a 90 run Innings from 144 balls, and hitting 11 brialiiant boundaires along the way, as Islam really stamped his foot on the match. His partner in crime, Saleh was going well at the other end. 57 from 81 balls and hitting 9 boundaires for his Innings before he was bowled by the fresh Brett Lee comoing from Lee's 2nd ball of his 2nd Spell. Rahim was at the tail end, and played nicely. Making a stance early, hitting 8 boundaries, and making 49 from 67 balls, he would be dissapointed in not making the half century, but would of felt he really helped his side. And Hasan played well for his 31, looked controlled out in the middle.

Australia's bowlers have been rather good. Although they have given away too many runs for their own liking. Each bowler has gone for more than 3 runs per over, which wouldnt impress Warne. The wicket takers include, 2 each to Lee, Watson and Andrew Symonds who has bowled the best for the Aussies, bowling 7 overs, 1 Maiden and going for 23 runs for 2 wickets, was crucial in the later stages of the day for Austtralia

Lead of 238.. hmm not bad for Bangladesh but not enough to restrict Aussies though... who knows, fourth innings is always bit tough to chase 250+...lets see what happens! :)

Change of Innings

Bangladesh have left Australia another hard total to chase. Bangladesh, led by Islam and Saleh have posted a mass total of 395 for Australia to chase down on the 4th Day of play. Being all out at the end of the day 3, Bangladesh are looking for a win to equal things with Australia in the Test Matches. Australianow needs 325 runs to win.

The Bangladesh team led by M. Islam and R. Saleh have gave Australia something to chase down with a days play to remain. Islam was brilliant for Bangladesh. 90 runs for his 2nd Test Match score, which will now bring him close to best man award for the Bangladesh team for the Tournament. 144 balls it took to make 90 for Islam and hitting 11 boundaries, so not really a dominate display with his shots, but the 2-3's counted. His partner in crime, Saleh made 57 from 81 balls and hitting a high 9 boundaires, which he looked more dominate in his apporoach. They had alot of contriubutors for the match aswell with Naffes making 36, Rahim just missing out on the half century reaching 49, Hasan getting 31, Salahuddin making 46 just missing out on the half century aswell and Rafique making 40, with all those 3 last players being at the tail end.

Australia spreaded around their bowling attack for this Test Match. 7 bowlers were used by Ponting for the Whole Test Match, with only 2 of them being spinners, and the other 5 being quicks. Brett Lee, Stuart Clark, Shane Watson and Andrew Symonds all taking 2 wickets each, with Shaun Tait and Mitchell Johnson (Test Debut) getting a wicket themselves. Only Michael Clarke couldnt make the breakthrough with the wicket taking. Shaun Tait was expensive, bowling 21 overs, and going for 103 runs, with just under 5 runs per over. Andrew Symonds was good for Australia bowling 15 overs, 3 Maidens, and going for 39 runs.
