Game Preview

Australia has made a few changes to their One Day side, that played the Test Series. In comes Cameron White and Stuart MacGill, and out goes, Shane Watson and youngster Mitchell Johnson.
Adam Gilchrist and Matty Hayden will open the batting, and with now a main spinner into the team, Australia will be looking to defeat Bangladesh just like they did in the Test Matches.
They still have, Brett Lee, Staurt Clark and Shaun Tait in the team as they are quick bowlers, while Stuart MacGill, Cameron White, Andrew Symonds and Michael Clarke, will all have a good bowl at some stage of the One Day.
This match will be played at the same ground that the 2nd Test Match was played, at Dhaka in Bangladesh on the 23rd of April 2009.

Conditions

The day looks good for cricket. It seems its going to be hot for most of the day. In the morning it willl be sunny, but in the afternoon is when it will be the worst for the batsmen to bat in, as it will be stinking hot out in the middle. The evening will be fine for the 2nd Team batting.
The pitch looks good, and it seems to have alot of good help for both pace and spin bowlers for both sides. Just perfect conditions for cricket out here this afternoon.

The Coin Toss

Australia have called the toss down here at ground level. Ricky Ponting has called Tails. Tails it is, and Australia have won the toss. Ricky Ponting has decided to bat first on this good pitch. Ponting wants to get his team in and let Bangladesh chase.

Bangladesh vs Australia - One Day International
20th Over

The first 20 overs have gone in the One Day match against Bangladesh and Australia. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first on a good pitch. Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden opened the batting for Australia, both players played well for Australia. 3 Power plays have been introduced into the One Day matches, and Australia just couldnt really dominate in this area. Only the 1 wicket has been taken for Bangladesh and that was Matthew Hayden who was bowled by Hasan and Islam was the catcher. Hayden made 29 from 59 balls and hitting 3 boundaries. Adam Gilchrist and Captain Ricky Ponting are now at the crease for Australia. Gilchrist has been good hitting 23 runs from 50 balls and also hitting 4 boundaries along the way, while new player Ponting, has started on fire, hitting 15 from 12 balls while hitting 3 boundaries and looks really good in the beginning. Australia re 72 from 20 overs, so they are on track for a big score.

Only the 1 wicket has fallen for Bangladesh in this match and Hasan was the bowler. 5 overs bowled from him, a great bouncer that cught Hayden by suprise. Hayden had to jump for the ball, but it was edged whilst in the air and Islam took the great catch at 2nd slip. 2 other bowlers have been used by Bangladesh, new player into the team from the Test matches, Rahman has bowled his 10 overs, 2 Maidens and going for 30 runs, while Hossain has bowled 5 overs, 18 runs which is just under 4 runs per over.
