Also, this story has been going on for a while. I want some feedback on how i am going on this story. The Pros and Cons about this story. Anything you'd like to see involved more or to be put in. Or is it good the way it is.

This is already going great. You are putting in loads of efforts with a simple ICC game which is not easy. Make Bangla win... :D ( just kidding) ;) Keep up the great works!

Bangladesh vs Australia - One Day International
40 overs gone

Gilchrist and Ponting 100 partnership between them

Australia top order in Adam Gilchrist and Ricky Ponting have dominated the last 20 overs here today and have put on a 100 run partnership to get the Aussies to a big score at the 40th over mark with just 10 overs remaining. Ricky Ponting came in for Matty Hayden was was dismissed early, and Ponting made it worth while out in the middle. Gilchrist was already on 20+ when Ponting walked to the crease, and yet somehow, as soon as you know it, Ponting was aheead of Gilly in the runs. Ponting went ont to make 50 really easily. His partner, Gilchrist followed soon after and made his 50

Gilchrist and Ponting went on, but then Gilchrist let his guard down. Sunny was bowling for Bangladesh, another change to the Test side, and it was a clean bowl in the end with Gilchrist miss timing the shot and was bowled by Sunny. The crowd got on their feet as Gilchrist walked back to the pavillion after making 63. He made this from 92 balls, and hit 9 powerful boundaries along the way. Gilchrist couldn't hit the big 6 but did put away some great four's during his Innings.
Ricky Ponting is still at the crease with 10 overs to remain. Ponting is on 68 from 76 balls and is looking dominate with 11 boundaries for his innings, but like Gilchrist, hasnt found the 6 power as of yet, and hopefully for Australia fans, he can in these next 10 overs.

Bangladesh have only taken 2 wickets in 40 overs. They will need a miracle from one of their bowlers in these last 10 overs to overcome Australia from taking a big score. Only Hasan and Sunny have taken wickets with Sunny taking out Gilchrist just before the drink break. Rahman and Hossain have bowled their 10 over limit and Sunny has just 1 over to bowl before is limit is over. Bangladesh still have Islam up their sleeves who has only bowled 5 overs, and is a spinner so will be looking to create some wicket oppourtunities for the next 10 overs.

great update there. Great opening and 1st wicket partnership with awesome scores from punter and gilly. going a bit slow though! need to pick up the rate ;)

Having 8 wickets in last 10 Overs.. this alerts some trouble to Bangladesh... They have to very careful in end overs & shd restrict around 230 which is possible... Com'on Bangla :)

Bangladesh vs Australia - One Day International
End of Australia Innings

Captain Ricky Ponting has turned the tide for Australia and set Bangladesh a 218 run chase to win this One Day Match. Bangladesh needs 219 runs to win at almost around 4.4 runs per over. Australia lost 5 wickets during the innings and were slow of the mark. But Australia did end up making a move in the last 10 oovers with Ponting leading the way.

The Australian opening batting order has put Bangladesh a 218 run chase to make. With Gilchrist and Ponting on fire today, the Aussies are looking forward to trying to keep Bangladesh to a low score.
Adam Gilchrist was great all morning, with partner Hayden, Gilly and Hyden made a great start. But Hayden couldn't keep the ball running. Captain Ricky Ponting came in and saved Australia. At the end of the day, Ponting made 83 runs and from 96 balls, Ponting hit 13 boundaries along the way. Ponting was dominate during his time in the moiddle. Gilchrist made 63 from 92 balls and hitting 9 boundaries, so without them 2 players, Australia wouldnt have made the score they did. Symonds was run out only making 4 runs while Mike Hussey and Cameron White saw out the last overs for Australia getting some good batting time.

With only 5 wickets being taken by Bangladesh, and with one of them just a run out, only 4 wickets were taken in play. Hasan took 2 wickets while Sunny and Islam took the other 2 wickets. Bangladesh used 5 players to bowl their whole 50 overs which was 10 overs each. Sunny was the most expensive going for 56 runs while Islam was also expensive going for 52 runs. Bangladesh also had 8 extra's for the match being 3 no balls, 1 bie and 4 leg byes going past the Keeper.

Welcome back to the Studio. I am joined by Michael Slater, Ian Chappel and Tony Greig. Now boys, we have seen Australia play some good cricket out in the middle today. But i have seen them play alot better then what they have today. Both Ponting and Gilchrist played some great cricket out in the middle. Matthew Hayden couldnt continue the bowling attack, he started well making 29 but couldnt continue. So Ponting and Gilchrist took to the attack and really gave it to the Bangladesh bowlers. Ponting and Gilchrist put on a clinic, and made a 108 partnership before it was broken.
Australia really needed to get onto the attack with Hayden going out earlier than expected, when he played a rather silly shot and Hasan the bowler found the edge and Islam was at 2nd slip and took the catch of Hayden. At that point, Bangladesh would of thought they could of gotten a move on a take Australia to the cleaners, but in came Ponting and then the heavens opened up for Australia. And no, i dont mean rain, Australia decided to get going after they were going well, but the run rate was down on their averages for one day matches. So Ponting and Gilchrist decided to go for the big shots, and not even making a 6 between them, but they did make 22 fours between them in the end of the Innings. Ricky Ponting looked comanding and domiante out in the middle, playing most of his shots down the leg side as the bowlers know that is his weak spot in playing cricket, but that didnt stop Ponting from getting the runs. Gilchrist on the other hand was good also, hitting 63 from 92 balls, as most of his runs were on the on side, as the bowlers couldnt pitch the ball right to Gilchrist, and Gilchrist punished them.

Ponting was easily Australia's best batsman for the afternoon, with making 83 runs from 96 balls, so was on target nearly every ball and nearly scoring a run every ball. Ponting hit 13 boundaries along the way, with most of them going down the on side and alot were glanced down to 3rd man. Ponting took the singles and the 2's, but were most importantly, looking for the rope every shot. The Bangladesh fielding was good at stages, because they knew that Australia were going to need to hit the boundary most balls because they needed to pick up the run rate quickly.

Now lets head back to the Ground, and we are nearly ready for the Bangladesh batting Innings. Bangladesh needs 219 runs to win, and taking the attack for Australia is Brett Lee. Thankyou for joining us, and we will join you for the Player Presenation at the end of the match.

Just one sentence,

" Presentation is outstanding :hpraise "

The Lunch Chat

20 Overs gone

Hello Ladies and Gentleman and welcome back to the Studio, and you are wqtahcing Australia vs Bangladesh in a One Day International match. And you have been watching Bangladesh batting to try and take down the Ausseis score. But things coulnd't be earlly for Bangladesh. as Brett Lee who stormed in from his marker, delivered a ball that swung a little biit to Javed Omar, Omar was surpised that the ball had swung like it did, and hit the pads right in front of the stumps. Umpire Billy Bowden didnt even have to hesitate with this desicion as it was clearly out, and Australia celebreated for thier 1st wicket just 3 overs into the play.

cricket2007050416395950aa4.jpg

But all things werent lost for Bangladesh. Captain Habibul Bashar came to the crease and had to put on a show to put his team back on track after the early wicket. But Bashar stepped aside and it was Nafees that took the honours. Nafees played some exellent shots mostly down the ground, and the Australian field, as good as they are, couldn't predict where the batsmen was going to hit them. But Nafees stopped for a while, either it was a tatic to get his captain of the strike, or Nafees was tired and need to slow down and rest up, but Bashar started to take over the Australian attack. By this time, the Aussies needed to bring in Cameron White as they only have 3 fast bowlers and the rest of them are spinners, and thats because of the pitch. Bashar took to Shaun Tait mostly, and Tait as quick as he can get them, just wasnt smart enough to trouble Bashar and Nafees, and he really paid the price in the end. And at the 20th over mark, these 2 players have built a solid partnership with Nafees on 31 from 57 balls, and Bashar is on 43 from 67 balls which include 6 boundaries along the way.

As we talked about, Brett Lee struck early and got the wicket of Omar, but that has only been the exciting part for Australia so far in this match. Not much to be excited about, as Shaun Tait has been hit around the park with ease so far from Nafees and Bashar. Brett Lee was good during his spell bowling 5 overs, 1 Maiden, 14 runs and taking the wicket of Omar. Stuart Clark who opened with Lee, has bowled 6 overs, 1 Maiden and going for 18 runs, so he has been good aswell, but Shaun Tait has been dissapointing as his stats show, 5 overs, no Maidens and going for 31 runs with a run rate per over at 6. Youngster Cameron White, who missed out on the Test Match has come into the side and has been asked to bowl straight away and he has started good, bowling 4 overs, 1 Maiden and going for 18 runs.

Well as you can see in this graph here, that Australia were on top of Bangladesh early. But to Banglahdes's credit, they have stuck by the Aussies run rate per over and if you can see just in the middle their, Bangladesh have passed the Aussies with the run rate and are looking to run away with the win. Bangladhes are 81 for 11 at this stage of the match, and Australia re looking in trouble if this graph keeps going higher and higher for Bangladesh.

cricket2007050416434987ej9.jpg

Habibul Bashar has been the batter of the Innings for Bangladesh so far, but it has only been 20 overs into their Innings so things can change but we have graphs here on Bashar's work out their so far. He has been lucky on a few occasions, when the ball has gone past him and the Aussies have called for a knick and caught behind, but the umpire didnt see or hear anything on both those occasions. Bashar has hit 43 runs from 67 balls, has been out in the middle 70 minutes and has hit 6 boundaries which is a 64.16% strike rate which has been his high for a long time. Bashar the 33 year old has played alot of leg glances and you see 9 of them have gone down that part of the ground, but he will be looking to have an impact coming out from lunch.
