Australia In Bangladesh

Bangladesh Vs Australia
1st Test, Day 1, Stumps

The Wrap up for Day 1

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to the warp up and you are being joined by Mark Nicholas and Michael Slater. Now Slates, what did you find out of the days play?

M.S: Well we saw the great bowling from the Australian younger pregade. I thought that Shane Watson and Nathan Bracken was good for the day, before Bracken went of the ground he was bowling well, the left hander was swining the ball from left to right into the right handers which made it difficult for the Bangladesh batters. On the other hand Shane Watson did the opposite thing, after facing Bracken, Watson just was conistant in his length and bounce which made it difficult for the batsman again.

M.N: Now you talked about Nathan Bracken, who did come off the ground just after the lunch break, now we dont have the full report, but we have heard rumours that it is a calf injury that he has been carrying for a few weeks now, and it was just tighting up in his run up when he was bowling. Do you think we will see him tomorrow, or will they be a player down?

M.S: Well hopefully for Australia he will be alright, not so much tomorrow, because they will be batting for the day, or most of the day. But when they are bowling next in their 2nd innings, then they defiently need him out in the park, because he was in good form, and looked to really trouble the Bangladesh players. But if he cant get out there in the 2nd Innings, then the likes of Watson, Clark and Lee will need to fill the shoes, and maybe bring in another spinner, like a Clarke or a Symonds to come in earlier then what they did early this afternoon.

M.N: Now lets talk about the Australia batting so far, just an hour of batting time they got tonight which is good, they would of hoped to get a start in the 1st day, and maybe carry it on for a day or 2 to get a big score, and let Bangladesh chase them. Adam Gilchrist was really dissapointing, not even making a single run, was out before he knew it.

M.S: Well yeah, it was supringsy to see Gilly open the batting in a Test Match, but Warney knew he would of done something to get Australia to the score that they want, but Gilly couldnt find the form and shows that he is only good in the One Day matches as an opener, haha. But nah in all seriousness, I have no idea why Gilly would open the batting in a Test Match, he has always been a good batter down the order at number 7 or around that area, i would have someone like Clarke or Hussey open the batting with Matty Hayden in these Test matches. But now Hayden and Ponting are in good form out in the middle and will get early sleep tonight and get ready for what is going to be a hot day out there tomorrow like today was and hopefully for them, enjoy a big day in the middle and make some runs for their team.

M.N: Now Slates, this is a new segment in our Wrap up for the 2009 Year, it is called Crowd talk, we have a few memebers of the Sky Sports team going around the crowd during and at the end of the match and ask what they thought about the days play, and what will pan out for the rest of the Test.

Kookaburra69: -Even Match so far i would have to say
-Javed Omar going along nicely. Hope he can carry on and make a century
- Bangla bowled out cheaply, Aussies will be looking for a huge lead

Surendar: -Good batting from Bangladesh
-I feel its too short to bowl to both the batsman by Shane Watson
- Aussie bowlers have done a good job to make Warne happy
- Really those short pitched deliveries should have been smashed for 6's. Bangla's spin attack going to make tough for Aussies.

Feelin Blue?: -Evenly poised match
- Nice stuff by Aussies. Lets hope we can press on and dominate this game!

Aus5892: - I'm Suprised to see Gilly opening in Tests, perhaps a cracking start would be good for the Aussies.
- Come on Aussies, good bowling

Jaztheman: - Unlucky Bangla's

World Champions: - Bangla got all down for 188 (Laugh)
- Gilly again dissapointed me. Hayden looks in good form along with Punter

M.N: Well there you have it. Some comments down on ground level from our fans, and we thank them for spending their time and giving their thoughts, and now the last segment for the day. The Play of the Day, would be Brett Lee, taking 3 wickets. Just dominated the pitch by himeself, and he wins the 1st Play of the day award for the year.

M.S: Well this has been the Wrap up and what a day we have experienced, and now we will leave you to get some sleep, and get ready for tomorrow's play, to see if its any better as today was, Goodnight

M.N: Goodnight.

Thanks for the wondeful comments. Appreciate them

Day 2 will begin soon

Australia in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Vs Australia
1st Test, Day 2

Australia loose concerntration

Bangladesh have nearly bowled out Australia in just 2 hours in the 2nd day of the Test Match at Dharka. Australia have lost 7 wickets in the Morning session with only making 113 runs. But the games does look even at this stage of the tournament, but Australia would be really dissapointed that they have lost 7 wickets really cheaply.
Bangladesh would be very pleased that Australia are not in front of them, or at the moment not infront of them, so they wont have to chase down a score so far, but there is still Australian batters to come, and they only trail by 30 something runs, so they game is even at this stage.

The 1st wicket fell was Matty Hayden who looked in great form in the 1st hour of play last night, but really had the troubles this morning, only lasting 2 minutes into the day and he was gone. Hasan the bowler and Saleh was the catcher. Hayden made 31 from 56 balls. Today started off horrible for Hayden after having a great start last night. Looked to really know his way around the crease, every ball that was pitched he looked to hit in the middle of the bat. But maybe the night's sleep stopped his from his form.

Michael Hussey would of been tipped to open the batting with Matty Hayden, but got pushed down the order with Gilly opening the batting. Hussey played well, but even he couldnt do enough for his own performance. Hussey really made the most of his time out in the middle. Australia really looked in trouble loosing Clarke and Symonds for very low scores, Hussey and Watson at the crease at the time, really needed to put on a good score to get Australia back into the match. Hussey really dominated the time he had out there. Smashing the boundaries, while Watson up the other end was just cool with the singles and the 2's. Hussey hit 4 boundaries in his 31 run Innings from 22 balls. So was on track of making a 50, but Rafique had other ideas. Shane Watson took a little bit more time to produce his innings, but still having a good innings from his great bowling efforts the day before. Shane Watson had a good innings making 31 runs from 60 balls.

Nathan Bracken didnt return for todays play, so Australia will be a batter down, and now Tait and Stuart Clark who is doing very well out there at the moment, both those players wil be looking to get Australia past Bangladesh's score

Shocking stuff by Aussies! Bangladesh bowling absoueltly marvoullesly. Dissapointing by the middle order men. Australia could lose this game horrificly unless if Clark and Tait can get a good partnership.

great bowling by the bangladeshies, hope they can turn things around with the bat though.

Great presentation mate shame the Aussies couldn't do too well.

Thanks for the comments

Just letting you all know, i will be away for 2 days starting from tomorrow morning, so i am going to try and update as much as possible tonight, so if the updates are quick, then thats why :happy
