Well, they may make some strange decisions, but I definitely would not refer to them as 'soft'. They've made quite a few bold and ruthless calls over the past few years, sometimes not necessarily the most beneficial ones, but not always soft ones.
Interesting with Clark, that just shows how limited the devlopment opportunities are when you draft in too many thirty year olds into the national squad, and how quickly they react to one poor performance.
Anyway, a solid partnership progressing at present, at least a riposte has started rather than a capitulation which was expected after such a long period in the field.

Well here you go, Warne's nabbed another wicket again. He's literally on fire. Where's the extinguisher?

I think the Australian selectors are stupid idiots James to be honest. Replacing Hodge with a batting average of 50 plus and making a 200 with Martyn who has played hopelessly brings out how apalling these selectors are. If they had been born with brains, the outcome probably would've been different. :)

6 wickets with Bangladesh reeling, shouldn't be a problem on the last day. Dizzy will be all refreshed as well. This Shahriar Nafees has been a good find for Bangladesh. Hes impressed in the 2 matches.

Only 4 down...I'm a little sad. Was hoping for 6-7 down so we can finish them off quickly.
Nafees is looking strong but Warnie was on fire!

nah - i was hoping for 3-4 so im good

give dizzy a chance to have a very good night sleep and be rejuvenated tomorrow

Nafees is now the highest run scorer for the series. 4 runs ahead of Mike Hussey and 15 runs ahead of Dizzy.

Yes, he's certainly grabbed the bull by the horns. I expected more from Rajin Saleh this innings.

But Dizzy was not out!!! So he will have a higher batting average :p

JN Gillespie 2 3 2 231 201* 231.00 531 43.50 1 0 0 28 2

LOL

COnsidering he has the best batting average of the series and best bowling average of the series, Dizzy shouldbe man of match and series.

Yeah, I don't dispute that, it was a disgraceful decision, and there's been more of those last summer, but it was a ruthless decision that indicated they wanted to opt for the experienced set-up against the Proteas, possibly negative in a way, but not soft.

Another disgraceful decision by the selectors was to drop Clark. Anyone else see him on sports tonight saying that the baby birth thing was an excuse for his dropping. It isn't the first time, remember the Symonds incident in Cardiff and CA revealed before the match he had a flu or something like that.

Gillespie surely has to be man of the series. Nafees has shown the goods this series and another good prospect but Gillespie's efforts with the bat was outstanding. Let's see how he performs against a most potent attack like England later on in the year :D

As most people were, I was shocked to see we had played 3 spinners. I would have thought Clark would have got another chance to show what he could do on the Bangladesh pitches.

One thing that has happened in this test is Warne is out bowling MacGill for once.
