the only problem is Lee, he is totally buggered and dare i say it, he is the most important part of our ODI team.

Gilchrist (wk)
Katich
Ponting (c)
Hussey
Symonds
Clarke
Cosgrove
Hogg
Lee
Bracken
Cullen/Dorey depending on the pitch

15th man: Johnson

thats my tip, Cosgrove could be a chance
We've generally been happy to play 7 batsman with Symonds/Clarke making up the overs, don't see why that should change- especially when the bowlers to come in are hacks

no way Dorey...i think you will find that Johnson will get the gig over Dorey 9 times out of ten.

personally i think its silly having Cosgrove at 7 or like we normally do, Hussey, but the Aus selectors seem to like it that way, and i think Symonds and Clarke's bowling is overrated.

I don't disagree with you that he may be more likely to play, but that's only because the selectors don't seem to require decent performance at any level before someone gets a call up (hey guys, look what Lillee said- let's pick this bloke!)

Clarke's bowling shouldn't overrated. Hes a part timer nothing overrated about that! On these pitches Hogg should be more than a handful for Bangladesh.

So England desperately need the all rounder because they lack quality batting depth and only have 2 quality bowlers

I sniggered at that.

Hoggard
Harmison
Flintoff
Jones

I'd say they are all quality.

i would to.

pity you dont have the batting depth to compliment that attack.

In the ODI game maybe.

But in tests we do.

Infact the last 10 batsman debutants for England compared to Australia have far outscored your debutising batsman.

We have good batting depth

Trescothick
Strauss
Vaughan
Pietersen
Collingwood
Bell
Flintoff
G.Jones
Shah
Cook

Yep, although in the ODI version we are poor.

You can add more to our Test depth imo. Inc. untried of course.

For example to add to gary0808s list.

Butcher
Joyce
Trott
Yardy
Adams
Powell
Benning

Whether it's now or in the future I think all the above could do a job at test level.

There all talented batsmen but I don't think they should be included because there not proven at a quality standard of cricket. About the One Dayers, part of our problem is our 'one day specialists' like Prior, Solanki and Kabir Ali aren't good enough for competing against the likes of Pakistan, India and Australia.

Anyway back on topic- Should be a easy win for Australia. Dizzy is likely to perform and Gilchrist is gonna go mad

Dizzy is in England :) I don't think we will be seeing 400 over here cause the Bangladesh pitches will help Rafique who we have all sorts of problems with.

Funny how we see these things, eh? :p
Nah, I wouldn't be making those sorts of predictions yet, but Bangladesh will look to be aggressive and competitive so there's a chance, with at least a glitter of confidence from their ODI victory last year and their first Test performance- so they've got some basis for self belief.
By the way, who's Gillespie playing for over in England?
