Great centuries of Langer and Hayden. Hayden was the player to watch today.

If there was no rain, Australia surely would have got a lead of about 100 runs, which would have brought Australia in strong position.

For me it's now a battle of Rain vs England.

Tomorrow's forecast is good, so Australia know what they have to do: get quick runs and let England play the last four sessions.

Bowden more than made up his team ;) How many times did Langer bat to get 105?

There was a few contentious decisions today by the umpires in Australia's favour that's for sure.
Still as they say, it evens itself out over time.
Im tipping England to win this match. hit Australia hard in the morning with the new ball get them out for around 400 and England bat aggresively until lunch on monday and leave Austtralia with around 220 to chase, another classic test match with a memorable finish. ENGLAND TO GRAB THE WIN IN THE LAST OVER THE DAY.

On the flip side, Australia will go out tomorrow, with the intent to get well over 500. Martyn will be keen to add a more substantial score to his Ashes record. Clarke and Gilchrist will look to play aggressive as much as possible and keep putting the pressure on England for the final day. McGrath will be aware he needs to bowl with the precision he is renowned for and we will see fiery spells from Lee and Tait. The champion Warne will come in and the pressure will all be on England.

With pretty decent weather forcast tomorrow for the last two days tomorrow's first session i believe will indicate where the Ashes are going.
I really do believe this match is in the balance and we will all have a much better idea at lunch tomorrow.
If im been honest Australia are more likely to win than England but a few early wickets in the morning and it's back in the balance.

actually there is more rain forecast for tomorrow...alothough a LOT LESS...what you also have to remember is, Australia were offer light 2 days running..
so don't expect a full days play tomorrow.

Australia haven't been scoring that fast, and are still 96 runs behind. Even at 4 rpo it will take all mornning to get level with England.

Surely you mean Australia vs Rain.

Funny day today, umpires were poor. Credit to Aus we are missing another seemer though.

nope we are miising a quality spinner! Pace bowlers on both sides have struggled on this pitch.

The only difference between Eng and Aus in this match is warne (pretty much the story of ashes 2005 series).

On Channel 4's coverage, it showed an interesting stat. At their currant run rate, and assuming there are no interuptions, they will be about 120 ahead by tea tomorrow. If this happens, a draw can be the only result, surely.

I hope Warne goes on an all night drinking session tonight and gets steaming drunk and spends the next two days in bed with a monster hangover.

The Aussies will lift their run rate if the rain stays away! Hayden has made his 100 so expect him to take off. The other batters know that they won't be coming in with their side needing a huge inns from them and so they will come out blazing as well.
Expect to finally see Gilly fire today.

Do you Aussies on here stay awake all night and watch or just watch a little then go to bed?
I remember the last ashes series in Australia i always stayed up all night and went in to work looking like crap. needless to say people found it funny that i would stay up all night to watch England getting there arses kicked lol

I usually stay awake the whole day. Also doesn't help when i'm in NZ as i'm basically getting no sleep cause the games finish at 5am.

he scored only 9 runs off 50 balls since he made his century.

New ball's due in 1over..could be crucial..
