Well Ponting was lost so no way he should have been tonight. If he had got out the game would have swung back in England's favor. I'm not saying he should go and do Afridi, he still has to keep the good balls out but he can play more aggressive than he has been aka the Hayden of old.

Do you Aussies on here stay awake all night and watch or just watch a little then go to bed?
I remember the last ashes series in Australia i always stayed up all night and went in to work looking like crap. needless to say people found it funny that i would stay up all night to watch England getting there arses kicked lol

That's the true supporter. ;)

Australia really need to consider the next two sessions as an ODI match now if they want to get something from this match.

And it wouldn't be bad to put in Gilchrist when the first Aussie wicket will fall.

I thought the Benauld theory had something going for it. He said Aus should get level with England and then declare, let Warne bowl them out and make an ODI runchase out of the fourth innings. If they bat too long I guess the risk is that England will be able to bat out for the draw.

The English will bat for a draw lol. It doesn't matter if they are 90 runs ahead, level terms or 200 runs behind. The English won't be letting the Aussies bat again if they can help it.

If they bat for a draw then they are digging their own grave if they don,t attack warne but only defend warne will make them pay heavly on a fourth day pitch

Totally agree, that is what the Aussie bowlers prey on.

This is a new era so maybe the English will attack. We shall see.

I got this feeling australia wil ge ta lead of 200 and warne will take 8 wickets and engladn all out 150 just got this feeling its gonna end like this

I've been staying up till 3 am almost every night watching it. Last couple of nights havent because i've had cricket early in the morning and it's also been raining.

If there are no more rain or light interruptions then i think Australia have a very good chance of winning. Australian bowlers will be fired up and i think Mcgrath will be back to almost his best 2nd innings.

Are they starting early today to get extra overs in?

Nope won't be a early start. Only 24 minutes to go and nothing started yet. Extra overs will be at the end of the day.

which is daft..cos bad light wil stop play as soon as the england innings starts...the light would already have been offered ( at 11 am) if England were batting.

EDIT: hayden out...still 50 behind

Its all looking like a draw now. England will take bad light so i know it sounds weird but Aussies should declare now and try and bowl england out. At least that way they will have time at the end of the last day to get the runs without taking light

Great session for England, and I think the light has improved - they may not be offered the light.
