Aussies had a lot of balls in their hand. Bailey went out of his mind and gave away his wicket yesterday. A 50-60 from Bailey would have had them in a better position I feel. McKay was adding too much pressure to Faulkner and considering Faulkner is young and inexperienced we cannot really expect him to score 150-170 and take his team to a win in a country where Indians really are unbeatable.

Hitting 200 in ODIs have now been boring, lets change our mission to reach 500 in 50 overs! ;)

Not good with the Watson injury worst fears came true.
Faulkner and Maxwell batting has been a positive. Finch tailed off at the end, was hoping for more consistency from him. Hughes is following Marsh, a good average but really low strike rate. Good time to try Warner or perhaps Smith or White at 3 with Watson opening.

Bringing home Johnson is moot for me. If CA was really series about the ashes preparation, this series should not have been played in the 1st place as most AUS fans would tell you.

Thank god rain fell & turned it into a 5 match series, since the idea of 7 matches was always mind-boggling stupid.

Now AUS leave the tour have lost its unique record of not losing a ODI series in IND since 1996, while the batsmen who needed serious red ball cricket based on evidence in England, just spent a month on some concrete roads in IND slogging the white ball.:facepalm

Exactly My father (Australian fan) told the same.

Have the rules really impacted the game ? Or is it just some superior batting / flat pitches.
Elsewhere, in Bnalgadesh or Abu Dhabi, teams are struggling to reach 250 too.

Bangladesh bowling was not poor looking like these ones! Not sure whether these guys had the mood of playing tennis ball cricket suddenly.

Its got something to do with the firepower in the Indian batting, crappy bowling by both India and Australia and to add to it the pitches. If the NZ v Bangladesh or SA v Pakistan series had taken place on these very pitches, the scores would still have been closer to the ones in Abu Dhabi or Mirpur. You just have to look at Cricinfo article about this published today. India average upto 15 runs higher than the next closest rivals, even in overseas ODIs.

ODI's against Windies are not that far. So lets wait and see how the pitches perform in those 3 matches.

Any chance of inspection being done by the BCCI?

GAyle and Co. would have a field day on such wickets. If Vinay Kumar plays, expect him to scale new heights.

Bowlers like him, Mithun and Dinda do take a lot of wickets in the domestic competitions, but never do they seem to look like International level bowlers. Not even Unadkat. Heck even Joginder Sharma takes a lot of wickets in FC !

Haha, I have no idea about football mate. I support Aussies, India and England equally in cricket, that's it.
